See a lot of comments about people who ordered these being "suckers" for buying these. If someone wants to buy a product, any product, I don't care. Audio is too much a personal preference for me to criticize what other people like or are willing to spend money on.

For me, they are too expensive, but that's just me. My complaint with this whole situation is that these should have been ready at the same time as the iPhone 7, since you no longer have a phono jack with that phone. If someone is happy with the sound and willing to pay the price then that's ok.

It's true. Silence that damn critical thought. Apple got it right with earbuds. Every Sponge Bob here is celebrating. Join the party. Who cares.

It's like a car brand hitting the nail with windshield wipers. Great success.

As much as I would like to try them in the store - I would never put a store demo model in my ears, just too disgusting for me. I ordered mine online and I know I can return them if I don't like them.
If trying them after seeing them sterilized with an alcohol swab still 'disgusts' you, you may want to take a look at your neuroses.

There is nothing about the AirPods that make them a necessity for the iPhone 7. Apple missed a production date. Oh the horror.

I find the EarPods never stay in my ears no matter what. Are the AirPods just as bad in that regard?

Wrong actually

You can change the settings from double tap for Siri to use play /pause

You can't with volume but with play and pause you can.

Uh, what? I already knew that. My point was that you can't change the volume controls without Siri. Read my original post.

They sound like EarPods, so you get a £30 sound quality , though getting that out if the way, it's an excellent implementation of BT. Used them this afternoon and faultless, apple nailed BT , they are very light, Siri works great, yet to test phone calls. I've used many BT sets and this is the best one, so you are paying £120 for convience and BT, if these sounded like £150 headphones, they would be incredible . If you love they SQ of EarPods, these will be fantastic for you. For me the SQ is poor, but these will be great for the gym , they just sound so bad compared to my shures so for listening sessions I will not be grabbing them, for phone calls and convience and gym they will be great

Yes. If EarPods don't fit you, these will not

Just this past weekend I was wearing wired earbuds doing some things around the apartment and 3 times they got snagged and yanked out of my ears. I was listening to podcasts so equally annoying was the fact that I missed what was said while I fumbled to put them back in my ears. My Airpods can’t arrive soon enough, scheduled delivery tomorrow. No wires and auto playback stop when they come out of your ears.

Pretty nifty headphones but anyone who says the sound quality is better is 100% lying to themselves. Microphone is hugely improved but as headphones, they're the same.

I agree. SQ is indentical , while the microphone is excellent .

The link you posted was saying you can't play or pause as well which was wrong in the first place. Don't think anybody here has said you can control volume without Siri

They could add that but those with Apple watches or people who use their phone in the hand it's not a major issue. Although it's one feature I hope they add

Maybe push your finger up and down the air pod. Shouldn't be that hard

Nah. I'll get Sennheiser Momentum Wireless Around-Ears. Sure they're twice as expensive and very different type, but at least I'll feel I'm getting bang for buck.

You're right, they fit two very different purposes. That's why you get both!

Not one comment relating to what I thought would be the key question. Do they stay in your ears?

One thing i just found out with Siri is you can say stuff like 'set volume to 60%' ... you don't need to do increments / multiple 'increase/decrease volume's.. so I'm not sure what is lost from lack of hardware controls

The earbuds were fine with sweat and these will be as well.

Unfortunately, the earbuds were not fine with sweat. Before I switched to Bluetooth, all of my earpods have been damaged due to sweat. I've even had a pair that started shorting, causing a minor electric shock. Apple took them "for review" to understand what happened and it was the same story, damage due to excessive sweat. I'm not the only person with that problem, either. In each case, the damage was due to sweat.

Cardio days = excessive sweat = broken headphones. That's why the beats (and others) specifically market some of their headphones as sweat resistant. If these are damaged as a result of sweat, they won't be covered under warranty, and these are a bit too pricey to just throw away.

The BT is ridiculously good. I can walk around my London apartment and get good reception all over . Also did a trip through crowded Westfield , not a single issue. If only they sounded like £60 headphones, well the convience alone is worth it , impressed

Have you had conversations with others and asked their opinion ? I'm quite impressed with Beats Solo 3 SQ and they also have the W1 chip. But the convenience of the AirPods seem unmatched.

As they only come in one size, will vary person to person

I listened to EarPods and AirPods side by side . They either sound the same or they don't

That's odd, I workout 5 days a week and never had any issues. Even high intensity workouts.

I'm getting some beats solo3 as well but I found it annoying having sweat on those type of headphones. Makes it uncomfortable

Yes, congratulations to all the suckers who fell victom to Apples POS marketing and couldn't deal with a small 2 ft wire. Your wallets are now $150 lighter and your energy bill just went up a slight bit to charge yet ONE MORE THING!

Why are you so upset? "buthurt"
Like you give a crap about people's wallet.

Pushing buttons? :p
