you can still get stayhear tips for headphones designed for stayhear + they all fit the same way

https://www.bose.com/en_us/products...ear-tips-small.html#v=stayhear_tipkit_med_acc

I did try that out, thanks. Unfortunately the StayHear+'s hole / clip area is a bit bigger, so it stretches the tip and makes it a bit less comfortable overall. The wireless were also designed to be used with the new tips, so as with any headphone expecting that type of seal, if it's missing, the bass sounds really flat. I'm currently using the wireless Bose with the StayHear+ since it's still at least better than any rubber-tipped alternatives imho.

Not sure why people would buy these when you can get better looking and better sounding ones for $60 (no cord connecting them either). You won't have tampons hanging form your ears and you won't be supporting a company that removed a feature just so they can sell you these.

Far too many experts here concerned with what People spend their money on.....!!
And you can keep the crapy $60 dollars earphones for yourself, thanks for trying.

You can't even control volume with these earphones. What a joke.

EDIT: Yes, I know you can with Siri. But why?

But the people buying this product are aware of that limitation and choose to buy it anyway. It's not like you buy a MacBook and get home only to find the keyboard is a separate install purchase.

I see, just from using it I've had no issues with Siri and phone calls, need more testing but so far the mic is impressive
Many reviews mentioned that the microphone exceeded their expectations.

OFD!!!

I bought them expecting £30 sound quality and that's the only expectation that was met, the BT quality, mic quality and battery life have all been beyond expectations. With the new MacBook Pro I was meh and did not meet my expectations .....these I'm genuinely pleased with and are much higher than my expectations.

Strange how many people fixate on questions like this and "What happens when I lose them?" It's as if they have never owned a small, battery powered tech product in their lives.

We need to post 'you no longer own it' to each of those questions. Also water does not have electrolytes :D

Do these really only have a single earpod driver? Yikes.
What? One in each ear, yes. And you can only use one AirPod if you wish.

Yes, congratulations to all the suckers who fell victom to Apples POS marketing and couldn't deal with a small 2 ft wire. Your wallets are now $150 lighter and your energy bill just went up a slight bit to charge yet ONE MORE THING!
Calm down m9. I'm sorry you have to wait SIX WEEKS for yours. LOL.

lol, a slight bit? It costs $.20 to fully charge a smartphone. A year's use and charging with these wouldn't even cost $5.

It's true. Silence that damn critical thought. Apple got it right with earbuds. Every Sponge Bob here is celebrating. Join the party. Who cares.

It's like a car brand hitting the nail with windshield wipers. Great success.

More like a car brand hitting the nail with wiper-less windshields.

"Nilay Patel"

You mean Microsoft PR department?

I wouldn't go that far but that guy is a useless reviewer. I've rarely seen him get anything right, no matter what the brand. His tech knowledge is weak, his use cases are always overly demanding, and his ability to be "wowed" is too easy.

He's an hypocrite.

When he was reviewing the Pebble or the Moto360, he was always saying how good notifications on your write were the best thing ever. When he reviewed the Apple Watch, having notifications on your wrist was the work of the devil.

Because there's no space for them, and because it's not comfortable to press buttons against your skull.

Sometimes when you spend a lot of money on something you feel it's better than expected or a must have item once over the hoopla some feel differently and regret large purchase decisions. I personally don't feel the price justifies being wireless. My wired headphones work good enough for me.

I really doubt people know about this limitation. It's only deep into reviews that people realize that these features are omitted. My $20 BT earphones have integration to allow you to change volumes, and pause/play. These can't without Siri.

How is there no space for them? Are you an engineer? It's clear that Apple is trying to push Siri rather than making more functional earphones. And it's not pressing buttons - this is using touch interface.

Do they stay in your ears during workout ? Run jog, weights, cross fit etc? Are these sports headphones or for some

Finally an Apple product getting good feedback!

Finally? Not sure where you read your sources. I can think of at least five Recent Apple products receiving positive feedback. There is a difference between someone hating on Apple and disliking an Apple product.

And yes, some Main page article titles set the tone of the article, but it's ultimately the consumer comments that contribute to the actual product, not the spreading of Apple hate that are common and dispersed throughout.

Really? SMH. I didn't actually buy a pair (waiting for 2nd gen), but I do have Bose QC30's and 35's, Beats PowerBeats2 and Wiresless Solo 2's, and Jaybird X2's. Wires are old hat. Don't worry, Samsung will follow suit next year. Mark my word. The days of wired audio are coming to a close.

I like the idea of these, but why does Apple have to use this white plastic in every single accessory they sell?
Two reasons: (1) It's the signature color that everyone now identifies with Apple, thanks to when everyone had an iPod and everywhere you looked people had those white earbuds. Thus, the white is a form of advertising. You don't even have to stop someone and ask "where did you get those?" White ear buds? Apple! If they were other colors, you might not know. (2) This is a new product and that means "testing the waters." You may not love the white, but it's not offensive as a color. And you can certainly see it easily (as compared to black which, if the case got lost somewhere in your backpack or the floor, you might find harder to see). Now, if these AirPods prove popular, then Apple will probably make them in other colors with the next generation (likely black and red). But there's no point in putting the money into multi-colored pods in this first generation of the product. Not until Apple sees if they're going to sell well.

LOL! Yeah, i expect it. I just can't get behind apple anymore on anything they do. Removing the headphone jack was stupid just so they could sell overpriced wireless earbuds which im sure quality sound-wise is equivalent to the wired versions.
Also, if apple wanted to be really innovative and cared about sound quality they would have used wifi-direct instead of bluetooth. Bluetooth is awful for music.

Call me a hater all you want. A stupid wire is no reason for me to blow $150 on a piece of tech that I can live without.
Honestly, can anyone on this forum tell me you CAN'T LIVE without wireless headphones. Your lying to yourself if you think its true.

Main reason for me so I can charge and listen to music. I do love the iPhone 7. It looks mint is waterproof and the Taptic feedback is cool. There are only 2 things I hate about the AirPods. 1. They look a bit **** in your ear. I am a bit self conscious wearing them in public ATM 2. Would like to be able to customise the taps so I can change volume. Other than that they are better than wired and solve my only problem with the iPhone 7. Also they are what I wanted the future to be like when I was a kid. Sick tech!!!

I guess these are the official replacement for the in ear higher quality apple headphones with the soft tips? Those were so great for $79...

This topic is similar to everyone's battery life. It'll be different for everyone.

These stayed in my ears for a good couple of hours earlier while working out. Didn't budge one.
