not true. no company want an end user buying a whole bunch of its product and resell it. it would rather sell it to 90k users than 1 user with 100k units.
people are waiting for this for a long time. if apple sell it to 1 user 100k units, and this user just holds on the units for a higher price, then people will be angry, to apple, because as far as they can see, apple is not providing enough supply. then people may switch to other brands. so not good.

also you just said apple wants revenue, then why is selling out a good thing? selling out --> no more to sell --> no more revenue.

Apple doesn't mind selling to resellers. Ask any Apple employee. Whether they sell 100k units to 100k customers or sell 100k units to 1 customer, it doesn't matter. They sell, they make cash. And cash in one transaction is better than cash in multiple transactions.

I wasn't expecting Apple to suddenly put them up for preorder today, so I missed it and now have to wait 4 weeks :(

I can't even fathom why anyone would want these. Normal earbuds fall out of my ears with the slightest movement and these appear just as bad.

The reason the EarPods fall out for me is due to the wire pulling and catching. This will eliminate that issue for me. Really excited for them. I do understand that my case isn't for everyone though.

This is a very tired and lame comment. Perhaps you can fathom that not everyone has the same ears as you? The only time headphones (earbuds or not) fall out of my ears is when the damn cable catches on clothing or causes downward pull. I've placed my order already.

Damn i just got home and seen this. Order mine and have a 30 Dec delivery date in the UK.

Just how I feel. Unusually for me, I've been away from my tech so I only just found out they're on sale. I have the same delivery date. Not happy.

Agree with the comments above.

Apple are saying that as from next week there will be plenty of stock in the retail stores and Apple stockists so if i can get some from retail next week i will cancel my order

Just wait until people start losing them.

Unless you are the type of person to leave one earbud in one place and another earbud somewhere else, I'm not sure how these would be more difficult to lose than a normal pair of apple headphones?

Then you haven't read any of the reviews as every one of them has tested them and said they are fine for normal activities, including jogging, etc. Pretty much the law of gravity here. What people don't realize is that your normal Earbuds fall out because the cord gets pulled on, however slightly. Of course, I guess you could be that rare person born with a defect or had an injury that doesn't have external ears to rest the Airpod on. Otherwise, as the reviewers have all said, with Earth gravity, again if you are on another planet this won't be the case, they will rest in your ears just fine.

I wil go to the store, I will buy these AirPods, I will cancel my order, and I will not feel bad about it.

so people think tooth brushes in their ears look good?

okay then..

Yes, normal headphones look so good. LOL, it's just what people get used to

As it stands with those products you get an increase in product quality with price. I mean, are we to assume they offer the same sound quality as Apple's current earbuds?

I guess I'm not seeing this. I also wonder about the weight distribution and how they stay in the ears - perhaps we'll see a safety cord accessory to keep them tied together?

How do you think that the current wired Apple headphones stay in place?!

the only fault in your logic, in my experience, is the fact that tugging from the cords is what usually pulls my ear buds out. Like people who are AppleWatch haters, it's those who don't actually own them that slam them the most.

Exactly the same for me and most people who work out / listen to music on the go.

I think it's hard for some people on this forum to let go of wires. Must be an age / insecurity issue.

Another annoying comment is "why do people want these things there are so many other Bluetooth options out there like powerbeats or blue buds."

Do people really not know the difference between powerbeats and airpods?

Of course I sleep in on the day they launch the Airpods lol. Wish I had read this article before placing my order, probably would have been able to snag some in a store in my area instead of waiting until January 12th o_O

I am curious that for those wanting the AirPods, is this your first Bluetooth headphones?

This is my situation so am thinking the desire is mainly for the wireless. I'm going to go out and buy some cheap $20 Bluetooth right now to see if the novelty wears off after a few seconds - like most other shiny new things I have got in the past.

sucks, i was going to order but since shipping has slipped so far i don't want to anymore hahaha
I just cancelled my order, I want them but the more I thought about it I figured it was a lot of money for as little as I use headphones, I use the wired ones maybe for an hour or two per week when I'm driving so figured I could wait until the next generation.
