Definitely.

1. I am tired of Apple trying to upsell every single product now, in a way that it has not done in the past. We used to have the iPhone and the iPad, but now the new features are only available in the iPhone Pro and in the iPad Pro. The AirPods were released in 2016 for $159, Apple launched a $199 model earlier this year, and now a $249 one. Profitable indeed.

2. I am tired of Apple’s erratic behavior in releasing products. The AirPods were released in 2016, and the second generation launched in March 2019. Why are these coming out just a few months later? Especially when it took over two years to launch the second generation? Apple does not seem to respect its own product cycles. I bought 2nd gen AirPods a month ago, I will not even consider this new one now.
1) Don’t buy the higher end model(s) if you don’t want to, it’s your choice. Others want them, why should they not have the option, just because you might not?

2) Apple changing the iPhone branding to “Pro” this year didn’t increase the price.

3) Apple introduced the 2nd gen AirPods with Hey Siri and the H1 chip at exactly the same price as the 1st gen model—$159.

4) New models are introduced all the time. Apple waiting until 2021 to introduce AirPod Pro makes no sense.

Maybe you shouldn't insist that bizarre needs get accommodated by a mass market consumer product.

Wearing headphones all day for work is bizarre? No need to be insulting.

If the AirPods Pro had better Battery Life, I’d get them. Since they currently don’t, I won’t.

So I guess the "Pro" suffix on Apple products no longer means "for the Professional".
I‘be always thought it meant “more expensive”. Because there are many professionals that do their work on MacBook Airs and other non “Pro” systems.

Curious will these not work on iOS firmware below 13.2? I wonder if they will work on 12.4?

This is the styling I wish they started with. I'll be keeping my BeatsX for a while though.

That's some mighty price tag. I just bought a pair of BT in-ears for less than $50 and they sound amazing. Maybe Tim Cook thinks we are all billionaires.

I’d have ordered some to resell but don’t see an opportunity this time. The first airpods was an easy choice to buy and resell. There weren’t anything like them.

One of the main reasons I like the AirPods is that it does not come with a set of ear tips that supposedly fit my ears. I like the simplicity, the one-size-fits-all approach, and the fact that it is very comfortable in my ears.

But it doesn't fit all that's the problem. For every person who is happy with the fit of their airpods there's probably 2 or 3 people that can't get them because it doesn't fit in their ear or its too uncomfortable.

Pro. Laughable. Higher tech shouldn’t cost more money. Pro should not mean “more advanced technology.” I shouldn’t have to pay more for a house with more bathrooms or heated floors.

Did you think before you wrote this? I'm praying that it's sarcasm. Otherwise, I'd have to imagine where entitled children like you came from. It's laughable to suggest that better tech shouldn't cost more money.

Glad they didn’t make them in weird colours as rumoured: white is an iconic colour for all headphones made by Apple since the original iPod. That said they’re stupidly expensive so I doubt I’ll get them XD

VAT rate in Hungary is 27% according to Google. It is no wonder it's a "poorer" country.
Corruption and mentality of people here... God forbid...

Anyways, maybe I will check them when I travel to US in January... I am waiting for reviews in the meantime because I stopped buying Apple products on day 1.

I need help, I ordered them as well. I love new shiny things. I also have the Airpods 2 and the Beats Pro, might sell the airpods 2 since didnt use them that much

Just in time as my original Pods are now barely getting 20 minutes on a call before I get the battery tone. i don't wear mine 24/7, only when making or taking a call or listening to music so 4 hours is usually more than I will ever have them on at one time.

Plus they have a 30 day return policy if I don't like them. And I believe I can add AppleCare+ within 60 days of purchase, I believe.

Does anyone know when earphones can be replaced using AppleCare+ for a diminishing battery?

If you're under 80% AppleCare+ covers the current gen free of charge. Seems like a very good deal

So I guess the "Pro" suffix on Apple products no longer means "for the Professional".

It's always have been a gimmick. For me "professional" means- you are making living with that "professional" thing. If you make living taking photos- you are a professional photograph. If you make living driving- you are a professional driver. If you take photos with a "professional" high end camera, but just put them on insta with pretentious quote as a hobby- you are not a professional.
So, what "pro" headphones would mean? You make living by listening to audio through a small earphones? It's just a name. I guess it means you get more added value, compared to other AirPods...AirPods AV? AirPods Plus (like a subscription service lol) ?

Do people buy used headphones that go inside the ear?

I just gave my old AirPods to my parents.

you have only to look at competitors offerings, features and price.

They haven't really shipped any of these yet so we won't be able say for sure. And people buy overpriced stuff all the time. They have no patience or willpower. There comes a point where no matter how good something is, it's still not worth the asking price.
I’ve looked at other offerings, but don’t see the same features for much less. Which ones are you talking about?

“Not worth the asking price” to you maybe, but if tens of millions of others willing pay the asking price, it’s worth it to them.

Expensive/high priced is not the same thing as too expensive/overpriced, is it?
