Another parody post?iPad sales were like a runaway train when initially released. Then sales eventually derailed. Hopefully AirPods don’t witness the same fate.

iPad sales peaked for FY 2014. FY 2015 to 2018, iPad sales declined. FY 2019 is the first fiscal year in 4 years where the iPad lineup saw YoY growth and even then they’re still not near 2014 levels. That’s not negativity. That’s a factThat is exactly why. Tim Cook said so on the quarterly earnings phone call. He said they were making them as fast as they can.

Nonsense. Over many years you’ll have some sales numbers curve to look at of course. But what you are saying is mainly negativity for what? Just to spin some negativity?

Consumer Reports rank the Samsung earbuds significantly higher on quality and they are significantly more affordable. Choose wisely.
AirPods Pro are great and I'm loving the outstanding sound quality and Active Noise Cancellation/Transparency modes. Keep it up Apple!

Choose wisely? [Whatever that means...] Don’t you think it makes complete sense that an iPhone user would choose the AirPods, whereas a Samsung user would choose the earbuds? (Rhetorical) Why would you even mention the Samsung earbuds in the first place based on a consumer report? I’m pretty sure the AirPods are successful enough where consumers aren't flocking to consumer reports, not when the AirPods traditionally have been popular since 2016.
The bad is the unreplaceable battery, who makes it better to buy a new one and that will push the sales even higher..
I love the AirPods. Point I was trying to get at was that I hope Apple does a better job of sustaining the success of the AirPods over the long-term vs the iPad lineup. That’s not the point though. You brought in the AirPods and attempted to spin some negative parallels.

I used the iPad as an example because sales of that line grew really fast from 2010 to 2014. And then from 2014 to 2018 sales declined significantly. And the AirPods are not just an accessory. They have the potential to be Apple’s next big wearables platform‘Long term’? Then you haven’t been following the AirPods, because ‘sustaining’ the AirPods isn’t a problem, especially when they can’t even keep up with the demand in terms of manufacturing, even the first GEN AirPods when they launched in December 2016, you couldn’t get a pair until March 2017. And I’m not sure why you would even bring the iPad into this, that’s a core product, the AirPods are an accessory to the iPhone.

They introduced “In Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic” back in September 2008. They didn’t ship until December. I was excited about those. They have both a woofer and a tweeter in each ear piece and sound really nice compared to the earbuds at the time. They sound much nicer that the EarPods and the AirPods. I couldn’t say how they compare sound wise to the new AirPods “Pro” but I’m sure they are comparable.Nice but want a corded version of AirPods Pro...EarPods Pro?

In the end, the guys at Consumer Reports have opinions just like everyone else.Consumer Reports rank the Samsung earbuds significantly higher on quality and they are significantly more affordable. Choose wisely.

AirPods are objectively a poor/bad product (relative to what they cost), they're extremely easy to make (it's a tiny low quality driver encased in plastic, with a chip), and Apple is likely exaggerating demand for PR purposes.AirPods don’t look like the easiest product to manufacture and assemble. Could be that Apple is already churning them out as quickly as they can and still can’t make enough to meet demand in the short term.
Not people who value their money. How can Apple have underestimated demand for these? They are exactly the type of thing everyone with an iPhone is going to want for Christmas.
very nice products, indeed.
And the Pro with noise filtering/canceling feature are THE worthy upgrade.
