If they weren't so uncomfortable in my ears. Assuming they are similar to current earbuds

It's been a long time since I looked forward to a new Apple product like this. If they get it right, this product will be perfect. Will miss the next / previous buttons tough..

Struggling with that scenario--Three inch bright white object falls out of your ear to the ground. Hard to find???
Hell yea, jogging on a trail, jogging at night.

Especially on a trail, leaves, rocks, and also bridges. If it falls out while on a bridge on the trails I frequent, there is a good chance it will fall off into the water.

I am skeptical about them staying in my ears. Especially jogging at night, if they fall out, it could be hard to find them.

Most people don't realize this but they fall because they get pulled by a wire. I have tested faulty ones (cutting the wires) and it was pretty hard to shake it out of my ears.

Lice? You're kidding, right? Do you have any idea how big a louse is? Hint: if you take even a cursory look at the AirPod before you put it in your ear, you'd be able to tell reliably that here are no lice on it. The reason lice get transmitted from person to person, especially among children, is that they hide in people's hair and move from one person to another when their heads are touching, as in play. Sure, lice can be transmitted by caps, but when was the last time you inspected a cap for lice or nits, which are also easily visible to the naked eye, before putting it on.

And, if you're really concerned about transmission of bacteria and viruses on the surface of demo AirPods, you don't have to put them in your ear. No one is making you. Or you could just bring an alcohol swab with you and clean them before trying them on.

Can you buy a pair and split them up to use one with my iPhone and my wife can use the other?

Nope, you cannot. The AirPods are tied together (not literally :) and the set work with one device at a time. If you lose 1 AirPod you have to replace them both. They cannot work independently of each other in regard to being paid with different devices at a time (though they can work independently of each other in that you can use either one or both at any given time)

160 bucks........lol.

There are other considerations beyond audio quality. If someone is happy with the quality of EarPods, then the addition of true wireless, easy pairing, fast charging, independent use etc make them an easy purchase and actually quite attractive at that price point.

I'm all for quality, but I withhold my judgment till it's out. I know 3rd already have them and the qualities are amazing....we will see.

You can clean them before you know?! And...you open the McDonald's door using your hands...you open the toilet door in the same way...
I don't use my hands. And still, you've got those wax deposits deep in the earbuds..no.

No, every customer would unbox a pair, try it on and leave. Then Apple staff will dispose them.
Such sass. :p

They will become available and then shipping dates will slip. Can i really expect to buy them on those dates, assuming this is even true in the first place? Apple is becoming like a crack dealer where you get a hit and then... ugh.

Nobody actually cares all we want is the W1 chip on anything. Well maybe not on citrus red Beats.

I know a lot of people will bash Apple for the delay on these (it is MacRumors forums, after all), but it is better to get these right than to follow the Samsung model and rush these out to store shelves.

Then again, exploding heads does sound intriguing...

What a repetitive and tiring comment to those of us that bought an iPhone in the wireless world.

Conrad Online Store? - I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. It's a relatively small retail chain.
