AirPods With Wireless Charging Case Delivery Date Slips to April

While I won't be ordering one, I would like to hear feedbacks from those who already have the 1st and ordered the 2nd Gen. I am interested to hear the improvement on battery life, sound quality and any other noticeable improvements.

Ditto. 24 hours in the case it's self with 15 min charge for 3 hours of listening will usually suit my needs just fine. I'll save that extra $50 (CAN) and wait and see if the next gen need a whole new redesign on the case as well.
 
Just a month before the 2 year warranty on mine ran out, they were replaced with a brand new ones because the battery life dropped to 3 hours.

I guess I’m good for another 2 years before these wear out and by then Apple will have the 4th gen AirPods out hopefully fully waterproofed and in black.

Probably early adopters who are only getting 2 hours of battery now. That’s the main reason I’m getting them, and wireless charging and better connectivity is a plus. Apple also claims better sound, but I’m skeptical of that.
 
Wow is Apple really going to make people wait another year (or more:confused:) for black and for water resistance? :eek:And $199?? I guess I'm lucky I can't wear them.

Yep, that's me. I haven't "overused" mine, since I have had a pair of Sony 1000XM2/3s at my desk (open work environment!). But I use them extensively for phone calls and exercise, also when I'm not at my desk/ home/ airplane. The improved talk time is *awesome*, as well as the wireless charging. I'm hoping that jumping between my MBP/ iPad/ iPhone is much improved, that has always been a very clumsy process.
 
Easy choice for me. The existing set of AirPods goes to the wife and I ordered a new set for me. I ordered the wireless case and am having my first name engraved on the case to help distinguish them from the Gen 1s.

I'll enjoy the greater range that comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and my car has a Qi charging plate in it, so it will be fun to toss the case on there when I'm driving. I'm also about to switch from the iPhone 7+ to the Xs Max, so I'll be picking up a wireless charging plate after I see what Apple offers with the upcoming AirPower.

After tax, my final price is $193. I'm satisfied.
 
got mine for March 27-29th - glad I'm on EST. Does anyone have any recommendations for multi-device wireless chargers? Don't want to wait..
 
Apple drops the ball again...sometimes I wonder what they do from 1st gen to 2 gen products. No black color and no slip texture coating? I won’t be upgrading from my 1st gen.
 
was expecting a little more. I wont get them, yet- ill wait for feedback and reviews and see how it compares to 1st gen

The slip texture coating I think isn’t a prerogative for the AirPods, however the water resistance, noise cancellation and an additional color would have been. At minimum, the water resistance rating would’ve been beneficial, simply because it would provide some more security for the AirPods in different environments and of course inside the gym.
