Hmm.. well standard wireless charging will be so long as it also supports all the existing standard wireless chargers, and this being Apple I'll be surprised if it does.
I don't get these storage capacity rumours though, 64gb and 256gb???? What about 128gb?? Very strange, and as for dumping Touch ID, hmm well not sure about that one I have to say.

One issue with the 'faceID' (as opposed to touchID) is that if the phone is in a mount or otherwise not in your hand, you have to then have it actually facing you or however it needs to 'capture your image'. A finger is much more maneuverable that your face, especially if driving, etc., or even as a passenger. I really can't see such a quick transition to ONLY 'faceID'. An option, maybe. Only? Color me still suspicious.

With touchID, you can still use a passcode. It would be the same with faceID, you can fall back to a passcode.

If the new iPhone does not bring us real wireless and charging and instead brings Qi charging this will be a huge disappointment, that means Apple is several years behind without any kind of improvements and there were no reason at all to not provide Qi charging for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 7.
RF based from Energous. HomePod will be the short range charger. That's my guess

Yes, same when using Apple Pay. When you make contact with the reader, the angle of the phone is not to your face, but upwards. They'll have to alter the timing so that you can invoke Apple Pay, show the camera to your face, then with a short delay move it over to the reader.

People are too pessimistic. Recall: there were finger print scanners before Apple put them on the iPhone, but they were junk. What Apple did was make it just work. Same with facial recognition: it's junk now. Perhaps again Apple can make this technology just work.

I often look at the phone to see if there are any new messages etc. In that situation I don’t want to unlock it, just look. In fact I’m being quite careful not to unlock it by not touching the fingerprint reader.
If with a face scanner the phone will unlock every time you look at it, I’d consider that a big step backwards.

Seems like according to these predictions that all 3 model are similar... Given this rumor, what would set the 8 apart from the 7 & 7s to warrant the presumably higher price tag and special or anniversary edition???

Edit: I didn't realize that there were more predictions in the original thread from earlier separating the 8 from the 7 & 7s.

So, again, he is the most reliable Apple analyst in the industry, a fact of which has been written in many articles so Google it if you're really so confused.

Also, according to this article, Bloomberg is backing up the report that touchID is going absent. I like the speed of the sensor in the iPhone 7, but I don't mind new technology so if the facial recognition is on point then great, less for me to do.

The 8 is fundamentally different in numerous ways. You aren't keeping up with rumors if you think they are similar.

They also, don't want to buy new lightning to USB C adapter for their speakers and lightning headphones that they already paid for last year.
Such bullcrap! Every forward-thinking tech user wants USB-C all around. Not Lightning. Not USB-A. And we want USB-C headphones or Airpods in box. Enough with this anti-consumerism, Apple! My goodness.

I already put money aside and planned on purchasing the iPhone 8 full-price but if there's no Touch-ID or quick charging I'll just keep my 6S another year or maybe consider a S8 instead. Just being serious here, those are 2 killer features.

iPhone 8 is old news! If the iPhone 9 I'm waiting for doesn't have integrated AR & VR tech, that's a deal breaker for me.

May I suggest Schilly Phil to find a middle ground: Offer a free charger but let those annoying customers pay $30 for the wire

Wrong. 98% of Apple customers don't care. They use what's in the box and they are happy with it. You don't like it because you're a techie with numerous USBC devices where it's purpose would be somewhat beneficial to you. Whereas the rest of everyone would be hindered by the change of accessory.

Think different.
