I can't even fathom the logistics.
And apparently, neither can Apple.
I can't even fathom the logistics.
So.... from the sales figures, you will find out two things
1. Apple has sold equal or greater units compared to previous years : sold out means iPhone 7 is a success
2. Apple has sold less than last years units : sold out means , apple messed up supply , sucess iPhone 7 is unknown .
Now in both scenarios , the difference of units sold compared to last year will tell is how successful the iPhone 7 or how much supply was constrained.
If it's scenario 2 , we cannot work out the success of iPhone 7 cause apple under supplied compared to previous year. Under scenario 1, I am taking more units sold to previous year to be a success criteria, both years the phone sold out
Just trying to work out what sold out means, using simple analysis based on this years and last years figures.
Sprint and AT&T reporting a 300% increase of pre-orders compared to the 6 launch....don't let reality get in the way of your conspiracy Apple has to....sell less iPhones at launch?
That's what Apple wants buyers to think...and it's working...![]()
I don't understand your logic. Do you understand what supply constrains mean? The sales numbers are useless statistic if demand outweighs the supply like it does with 7.
P.S. it's a success don't worry.
See, you say this, but it's Apple. They could definitely be prepared and have enough stock if they wanted to. It's all a case of making larger quantities and starting production way earlier than they do.
Sales figures give us facts. From there we can make deductions , without them is it's just markerting blah blah.
If you are getting one tomorrow, enjoy!!! Nice phone
2 sizes, 3 storages and 5 colours. thats 30 skus. You must understand the logistics here. Sales are pumped upfront! You can't have factories building up 15m iphones on day 1 and then go "relatively" quiet thereafter. They need to be staggered to a certain extent.
the iphone is the most coveted and demanded consumer product in history. No way to can satisfy all that demand on day 1 (especially when launching simultaneously in 30+ countries, in 2 configs and 5 colours...)
I actually can't understand what point your making any more. Your grammar is difficult to follow, sorry.
I don't live my life by what MacRumors users complain about. Online users complain about everything. They complain on most articles.
I also don't think you know what trolling means. I'm having a discussion. You don't agree with me, I don't agree with you.
But without the supply context, the sales numbers are meaningless. They only have relevance if we know that everyone that wanted to buy one actually could.Sales figures give us facts. From there we can make deductions , without them is it's just markerting blah blah.
I hope. I need to test the home button to see if i like it.Do you think there'll still be some to look at?
I have to say it's strange for Apple to not sell any 7 plus models at their brick and mortar store in day one.
Crazy. Has never happened st any store I've been to and for four years I was in Iowa (and if that means nothing to you it's close to the middle of nowhere lol).Well, in 2014, my Apple store in Canada DIDN'T have any 6+ models for sale on launch day.

Oh, nice! How do you like it. Was there for school. Not for me. My claim to fame was I was a six hour drive from Chicago. So visited there a handful of times during my tenure.I've spent a lot of time in Iowa and the US midwest.
I personally expected the Jet Black to sell out because it was the color they featured pretty much nonstop during the keynote, but with them doing that you would think Apple would have done a better job prepping for the number of sales that would come for that color. Even with a supposed shorter supply than normal this year, you would think they would have made more of the color they knew was going to be in high demand. Did they learn nothing from the white iPhone 4 fiasco?
And watches lol. It's all in in for this year. I'm thinking I should just say screw it and wait for my next weeek delivery.Atleast the folks that want the little iPhones will be able to wait in shorter lines. Not surprised the 7+ are in such demand being the first time Apple has made it better then its little brother.
