Stop complaining and don’t get it, not everything a company does is for you. Garmin watches get up to 51mm+
I don’t own a Mac Pro or even a MacBook Pro because I have an M1 MacBook Air. I don’t have the iPhone 13 Pro Max, because I have the iPhone 12 Pro. I don’t hate on the Mac Pro, or the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

So why are people hating on the Apple Watch Pro (assuming it arrives as rumoured)? If it’s not for you, why hate on it? Buy something different…. Or don’t….

I really don’t understand this pathetic whinging.

Has anyone heard anything about the resolution of the display (pixel counts)? The S7 seems to be 352 x 430 (small) and 396 x 484 (large), I wonder what this huge watch is going to get; to be able to display some more widgets/complications it would have to be something close to 500 x 600 for just a row or column more on the more info-loaded watch faces....

Apparently it’ll be the wrong choice if Apple make it, based on the comments so far.

Some people have been hoping for a round Apple Watch since the Apple Watch debuted. Look at how much rounder the corners are on this Pro watch. Is Apple slowly going round? 🤣

They should have rotated the orientation - landscape, in that case it will fit to all wrist

So much negativity, lets see what actually gets released and what it can/ can't do?!

If a product doesn't interest your needs that's one thing, but for every 1 person who has zero need or interest, there will be another 1 that loves what is offered to them.

Let's wait and see :)

It’s just too big for me. A shame really as if it had good features (which it sounds like it does) I could have gotten over the price tag.

This is a competitor to the Garmin Enduro 2. The people who want these don't give a flying hoot that it looks big on their wrists. They want the functions. The battery lasts for days while the features go continuously not just periodically and it has solar charging. Serious athletes use Garmin. Long distance racers use Garmin. This must burn Apple's butt. So now they are going for it.
Unfortunately these are mens watches.

It’s funny that the biggest iPhones will be called Max and Plus, and the biggest watch Pro, while the biggest iPad is just called 12.9".

I think it will be a Fénix series competitor. In fact the enduro 2 is basically a Fenix watch with a “little and specific” upgrades and a much more expensive.

Ps: fully agree, serious athletes uses Garmin or Suunto watches instead of AW. We’ll see what Apple show on Wednesday.

Yes it is big, but take a moment and look at the side by side pics again. It isn't that much larger than the 45mm. Certainly not comically big as some are saying. I think if you currently wear the 45mm watch, you very likely could wear this without looking odd. Unless the 45mm currently is too big for your wrist as it is anyway I guess.

I can't believe Apple is going to all this bother for the minority of people into extreme sports. Market research must have shown that enough regular watch owners would be prepared to upgrade to this watch for whatever reason. I'm fine with the 45mm but I don't think I could wear the 49mm.

This is massive sized watch even for most man. I bet Apple has something smaller for the ladies as well.

45 and 49 options make the most sense. 4mm bigger than both regular options. And maybe that’s happening and the reason leakers missed it, is because a 45mm already exists so they just assume it’s all one model. Who knows?

Massive difference

I just hope battery life is 2-4 days. My series 7 is lucky to last 16 hours
My Series 6 lasts me two days when using the GPS about 2 hours per day. It lasts me three days if I don’t exercise. That’s with the always-on display switched off. I’ve done 8 hour bike rides with full GPS tracking with battery to spare with this thing. In my experience the battery life of a modern Apple Watch is excellent. However, for more extreme use cases more is always better.

Jony Ive: “The Apple Watch is part of my life now and it’s hard to live without it, but the one watch that I do find myself admiring is my Nautilus. It's a bizarre, bizarre object that I have huge affection for. The more you look at it, you struggle with comprehension of its geometry. I do not wear it as much anymore, but it’s a beautiful watch, I think.”

That watch isn’t nice looking at all imho. Looks like a $19.99 Walmart special targeted at junior high school boys who need a serious dress watch. For once in my life I’m caught thinking “that bezel is too big and looks out of place.”

But then again I also thought iOS 7 was a complete mess top to bottom.

I guess it takes a genius to know genius design.
