This seems to have the same new wordings for some of the buttons as the english version in the OP does.
 
referring to "Volume Buttons" and "Sleep/Wake button" instead of the usual "Volume Up/Down"

Apple buys the company responsible for the fingerprint reader on the LG eXpo released back in 2009, and...

Wait for it...waaaiiit for it - Apple adds the tech to their iPhone, four years later, and calls it "revolutionary", and then....

Wait for it...waaaiiit for it - fanboys start making inane jokes about how Samsung will do what Apple just did :D

I think you'll probably find it's required for the scanner to work rather than their to differentiate, the same with removing the home icon (I would imagine that will interfere with the scanning process) - but removing the home button icon actually adds a new level of simplicity. The ring actually helps brings a bit of attention to the button anyway with the removal of the icon. The design changes are probably similar to the removal of the MacBook Pro wording on the retina mac's and the seams on the iPhone 4/4s/5 - They are changed for the technology to work not for design.
 
I think it's a good idea, that they've cleared away the icon for the home button, as it symbolised the shape of app icons, a shape which has changed, and kinda jars with the OS on iPhone 5.

Either way, if they still ship an icon on the home button, they should most definitely update it to correlate with iOS 7's new icon shape.

But where is the value to you and me? All companies have great hardware, it's how it integrates with the software where the value is added. I've already got a mind horn over this phone. Tell me you're pumped to brah?
 
Just my two cents: maybe the silver ring will be used for scanning biometrics like heartrate, body fat etc?

The law can change retrospectively. You can commit accidental illegal actions e.g. while abroad. And if you really have nothing to hide, you are probably already a surveillance target.
 
32GB starting base model, the ultimate security feature built in, 12 MP camera - Nice neat upgrades.

Now the question is do I really need to upgrade from the 5 or simply wait and see what the 6 adds on top of this.

The icons are still the same shape..

Pearhaps touch will be easy than scan. Scan depends of yiur finger moving velocity etc

Agreed. I still don't think iOS 7 is attractive... Everyone is just happy that the design is different. It really does not look good.
 
Multi function

Do you guys think the new finger sensor button will be multi functional.
Example 2 second hold for camera etc???
