I really enjoy the tradition of breaking the reality distortion field before the grat unveiling.

It's like growing up. It hurts if your doing it right. :D next year can't come soon enough :apple:

I was wondering the same. Browsed through the geekbench 3 results but couldn't find the corresponding results. But maybe he didn't upload the result?

It uploads by default. Its just not under ios benchmarks because its not a confirmed device yet. There is a time stamp so if you go to recent results and browse through you should find it.

Several things that no one is taking into account

1) The version of iOS that is being run on that device is likely the beta developer build. This means that it is full of debug code and extra running background processes that will skew the results.

2) The larger the screen, the more pixels that need to be filled, the more RAM required for gaming.

If the 6 is only .1ghz faster, then it may be close to the 5s in performance.

If these final specs are indeed true, then this is the first time that Apple has positioned the iPhone as a mid-range device.

Double the amount of RAM? From Apple? Come on now! Dream on, silly person. LOL!

if benchmark is true - 5s will be as fast as 6 (more pixels, little more power) - this will be upgrade for ip 5/5c owners, 5s will still rock hard!

It's a lesser gradient than the past few years, making me think they are concentrating on a lower power consumption rather than raw power, because let's be honest that is plenty fast enough.

If it does turn out to be true this wonder how many that where planning on buying the 6 will now keep their 5S?

This article says, "1305 single-core and 2347 dual-core for the iPhone 5s".

I just got 1396 single and 2507 dual on my 5s.

Not significant enough. But 6 hours left, there's so much hype that there isn't any hype.

I suppose the bigger screens and new features such as NFC is the reason for modest processor upgrades. I'm sure the 6S will be all about CPU and maybe RAM upgrades.

Interesting. Apple probably figured that the CPU performance of the prior iPhone is "good enough" (it is) and that the extra transistors should go towards the graphics processor.

That, or TSMC's 20nm is really awful.

I want 4K Video or at least some video feature that sets he iPhone apart from the entry level competition.

I really hope that 1GB will be enough. My ipad Air is struggling with Safari and some other apps on a daily basis.

But my iphone 5 works just fine with 1 GB.

They should've gone with 1.5 GBs to account for more pixels... Whatever I guess, apple doesn't care to cater to the few percent of buyers who even know what RAM is.

i live in Germany with 75%+ and Spain of 85%+ Android marketshare (exaggergated numbers obvs) so i have no real choice :p

i remember when i started to study in 2010 they all had iPhones. now i am the only one left

no but compare apps from the early years to now and you see a difference you may not even notice cuz it happens gradually. The iPad 3 and < iPhone 5 cannot handle the Bioshock game for example.

lol...u didnt get the joke. :D
look at the definition of android: a robot with a human appearance :p

heres to me hoping the 5.5 will have 2gig ram

I hope your right. If the 5.5 will have 2gb I will be picking one up. Not to mention the battery would be on-par or even better than the note 4's. Otherwise i'm gonna go with a note 4, or even the 1gb 4.7(uses slightly less ram due to ******** res., same idea as ipad and iphone 5 ram usage).

Comaring those 3 pictures the LG takes the best shot...

Actually no. Compare the three, the one taken with iPhone 6 have greater details and better contrast. Look at the clouds on the horizon?? Not visible on the other 2, plus other details like lights etc.

Nice score and all... but 1gig of RAM in the 2014 is a bummer. If iPhone had 2-3gigs and Samsung was stuck at 1, we would laugh our a**es off, admit it. I don't care how optimised the software is, there's no point in keeping the RAM that low.
P.S. If iPad Air is still equipped with the same amount of RAM im off the Apple train.

I love Apple and everything they do...but if they seriously think I'll buy a phone at the end of 2014 (to use through 2016) with 1GB of RAM, they're out of their minds.

I know right. Android will be at 5 GB by then.

I really want an iPhone, but the RAM thing is killing me. Android options are becoming less appealing to me as Apple adds things like large screens, but my god Apple put 2 GBs of RAM in it. It's too damn expensive not to.

Comaring those 3 pictures the LG takes the best shot...

Apple needs a new killer feature. Like 'waterproof to 100m' or something

Says who?

For comparison sake the guy should have taken a shot with an SLR camera, then you can say which one is the better one.
I can't say which one is the better one, but they seem to be better than the iPhone 5S

Just to let everyone know, this is for the dual core score. The app has not been updated to take advantage of the new quad core A8 so expect around 4500 for the score.

Thank me after the event ;)

I very seriously doubt that. Geekbench 3 appears to be able to take advantage of any number of cores available.
