Alleged iPhone XI and XI Max Molds Show Triple Camera Layout

Jeez those are seriously ugly bulges on the rear. If those are truly what's to come, I'll hold on to my phones for as long as possible and hope those are just a temporary design flaw. Steve Jobs would be ashamed to release such such a terrible idea. Johnny should lay off the drugs himself if he signs off on such a wackadoo idea.

They actually do need to know where the notch is if the case includes a screen protector.

All the people moaning I’m sure will still upgrade....

If this phone takes amazing pictures the look of the camera will suddenly not matter.

Quite confident my X will be perfectly fine until 2020. Hard pass. However I might reconsider if the cameras were flush to accommodate a bigger battery

No, not just you. I have exactly the same impression. And besides my iPhone 8 I still have an iPhone 4s - wonderful design! Compare this design to that of the XI and ask yourself, where the innovation in design should be? A huge ugly notch on the front and a giant camera bump on the back that any five year old child would have designed better. I always asked myself, when Apple will be hit by the big disaster after Steve had died. If the next iPhones will really have such a design, I know, the time has come.
 
If those molds are legit, then I suspect Apple is going to get absolutely hammered this fall by reviewers.

The overall design is now stale and boring. The camera “hump” (more like “block”) is now huge. The controversial notch will still be there. And it’s unlikely that 5G will be included, even if there really isn’t a market yet (it’s one less selling point).

It’s going to be a snoozer this year, folks. Exotic/experimental products like the Fold and Mate X are getting a lot of attention and mindshare — even if they come with issues — because they’re bold and new. I think it’s not going to be a good year for Apple iPhones.

My guess is, that’s the design we will get. It looks like Apple primary focus will be the resigned iOS 13 and the new cameras in the iPhone. Maybe next year we will get a smaller notch. :(

I don't care, I think it feels better and looks better with squared edges. They could make the edges literal razors and that would feel really thin, but it wouldn't make it a good design choice. :p :D

Looking forward to seeing how Apple (read Ive and team) packages this. I trust that it will look good.

The triforce arrangement has to do something with the combination of software and hardware; something new..
3Dpictures?
AR deluxe?
...
Apple wouldn’t just do this to create something slightly different.
I’m excited !

Rounded sides are slippery.

My ideal iPhone would have a rounded top/bottom, like they are now, and flat sides like the current iPad Pros.

As an added side effect, flat sides don’t contribute to bezels. Almost 1/3 of the perceived bezel on current iPhones is actually from the rounded edges.

This year I’m more excited for the new “R”. I’m over the flagship hype, I’m getting bored and this design is UGLY.

They may well get destroyed for design but if the pics are that good the reviewers will talk more about what works well than a design

It will be a great year for iPhones if they price it where no increases

It still remains to be seen on what other upgrades the new phones have. That will decide more on who buys it

Said for a while that IOS 13 will mean more this year than feature upgrades in new phones
