yawn...wake me up when Apple releases the SE2 (updated internals everything else the same).
Apple repeatedly throws out it's own perfect designs in favor of "new" designs that have the latest components and do-dads, but are inferior in areas that really matter (headphone jack, lack of retro port compatibility, size, etc.). Luckily, Siri has been an area of constant improvement.

Beginning on a rectangular surface with edges and corners rounded by constant radii, do we:
A, Frame three circular lenses within an embossed circle.
B, Frame three circular lenses in an embossed square w/rounded corners

Class?

Again, a strong majority are focused on the back of the iPhone and they ‘won’t buy it because it has three camera lenses’. Put me in the category that I want to see the potential what this triple lens camera can offer, and I’m suspecting this will be one of the most significant years for the iPhone camera enhancements since the dual camera on the 7 Plus.

Force touch would be a big loss for me.
And if they add a third camera I would greatly have preferred telephoto to ultrawide.

Guess we will find out.

I love Force Touch. Even though I only use it for half a dozen functions, I use those functions all the time.

I always put a case on my phones so the slight camera bump is irrelevant to me, even if it gets bigger as shown in this article.

I don’t care about the camera. But no USB-C = no buy. Your move, Apple.

Other than not having to carry a Lightning cable, what would USB-C do for the phone? There's not much point in changing an existing, working, design unless there's a good technical reason. I like Lightning. Just MHO.

Seriously. Fire Jonathan "Notch" Ive.

How else would you do a full face screen and put cameras and sensors in it? I barely see it anymore.

If there is a notch, it's not a full face screen.

i never have used a case, and i also don’t care about the bump.

My sony mirrorless cameras have bumps too. It’s fine.

Apple will spend between 5-10 minutes of their presentation telling us why this camera layout is optimal and then show pictures and discuss how the camera layout allowed for the images to be so breathtaking. Admitting, without saying so, the layout is but ugly but it has to be for these images be be so fantastic. I can hear Tim saying the words… these fantastic images were only made possible…

Can someone remind me why Apple decided to use Lightning rather than going with standards? Is it truly a self money motivated decision?

No there were good engineering decisions behind it. It's a better connector than the micro USB, for one because it's more robust. The 30 pin had to go. Apple has a history of making engineering decisions and having everyone else follow...eventually. Sure, they sold a lot of new cables but that wasn't the reason.

I would book an appointment with the opticians if I were you...

Just had one last month. They're fine. Thanks for your concern. Please don't be a butthead just because we disagree. I ask again. How would you do a full face display and still put the cameras and sensors up front?

Boring. Apple needs a smaller Face ID iPhone in their lineup and a folding model too. In due time I guess....

OK, you're technically correct. But take away the notch and you take away a lot of function. There's no other way so far.

Why ? we never had a problem with the 'notch' until we saw it. Now its, here, we can't (bear.) to part with it.
