I remember when the iPhone 4 was released. Design wise it was a MASSIVE step up to anything in the market at the time. I still remember all my android colleagues and friends moving to IOS purely for the design. These guys have not left IOS since. 3GS owners also quickly upgraded.

If the 7 looks like the 6 it will mean 4 yrs of essentially the same iPhone design. Not good for Apple especially with Samsung upping their game.

So this mockup is supposed to be based on accurate production info! No artists impression? I love it. There is no obvious design flaws. The camera is nicely placed free in the corner. This is the best design since iPhone 4 and iPhone 5c. Maybe gray plastic isn't the best color for antenna bands, but nevermind. Can we expect this look for the iPhone SE also?

I like it too.

3 years with the same boring design is tooooo much. That would be a dealbreaker for many people. No wonder sales are falling rapidly for Apple. *Insert a lot more negative stuff*

But okay with me. Means I get mine faster :)

The way I see it, iPhone design was always clustered in 2-3 modes. The first mod was models 1-3, round plastic.

2nd mod:
4 and 5 were similar, only 4 had glass back and 5/5S metal backs.

3rd mod: Now, 6 and 6S are of course similar and larger with 7 maybe getting into 6/6S cluster but obvioulsy modified in a way we don't know yet.

Model 8 and beyond we have no idea about. The conclusion is that if 7 will resemble 6/6s, it will be just like 1-3 mods or the way 5/5S resembled 4/4S

The renders are consistent with information obtained by MacRumors last month
The same information available everywhere for all to read and where someone 'built' on it and came up with this. Isn't that the definition of a self-fulfilling prophecy? ;) The only truth is that we won't know for sure before September.

/goes back to living today. :D

Guys, I just don't see this as an iPhone that will drive YOY growth.

iPhone 7 = iPhone 6S S (or SE, or Edition, or better yet The NEW iPhone 6S) :D

This leaked design (if true) cannot compete with Galaxy S7/Edge design. Samsung has pulled ahead this time I am afraid.

Jonny must wake up

A lot of people here seem to dislike the 6/6s design but beyond the antenna bands I think it looks just fine. I have a feeling I'll be skipping the 7/7S cycle to see what's in store for the great beyond.

See the issue is regardless of the design of the device, it still runs Samsung's horribly modified version of Android. I don't care if they come out with the most amazing designs to make me drool, I have an iPhone because of the software. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

i think it looks nice. now please get rid of the absolutely huge bezels and circular home button on the front glass and the iphone will design will be just what i always wanted it to be.

the one thing bothering me is the lack of headphone jack. if the iphone 7 doesn't have it then it simply isn't an option for me. my headphones cost £130 and i'm not going out and buying a new bluetooth pair just so i can listen on iphone. forget it.

What if there was a tiny adapter you could put on the end of your headphones connector to make it work, which would most likely happen? It would be no different, just plugging into a different port.

Windows XP

The iPhone is a mature product at this point.... Wouldn't expect any revolutionary changes

In addition to the cleaner all-metal look, the images of the rear of the case depict a larger hole for the camera. The orifice is described as closer to the edges of the chassis and forming a "slight bulging outgrowth", a phrasing which doesn't contradict our earlier source's claim that the camera sits flush with the rear casing.

If it's not flush with the case, it's not flush. That does contradict the early source, I don't understand the point of trying to cover one of these claims being incorrect.

Samsung´s Galaxy line has been constant in design language for the past 5 years. The only notable difference is the edge, which is a side-step from their flagship model that essentially looks the same as 4 years ago.

This post is about outer design. So I am only talking about design of the iPhone 7. We all know that TouchWiz is dragging down Galaxy S7 experience but strangely, I prefer it's vibrant fresh colors over the mud green colors of plain vanilla Android. They have become boring after 3 years.
