Don't really care how it "looks", since I always put a case on my phone anyway.

It it takes better pictures, then surely it will stop all the people whining that Apple is only concerned about form over function? Right? Maybe.......

It looks dumb, but 99% of the time I'm looking at the other side of the phone so I really don't care. If it means better picture quality, go for it.
You know the door ding or the scratch on your car, your eyes just naturally get drawn to it. Kind of like that. Those who avoid looking at it probably suffer trypophobia like I do lol.

I saw "schematic" and for a second I was excited. Will they finally use two PCIe lanes on the Toshiba flash? Intel modems? USB C? Fewer power rails? Nope. Stupid cameras.

Show me low light photos and I'll choose from there. I'll also probably "need" usb c charging. Phones are too expensive anymore for them to not tick all boxes for me. I must say I have pixel envy, namely for the camera.

Nokia already has 5
I so wish windows didn't Peter out. I loved their lumia devices and they were so far ahead of the pack even then, in terms of photography (I think this was five years ago now). I may just have rosy memories but I feel like their low light photography was better than anything Apple has achieved even to this date.

That’s got to be the next step in the ugly trend of bump, pill and square.

Much prefer S10 camera alignment, I’m sad to say.

The square is ugly.

its ugly, same way the iphone4 antennae bands, which later became industry standard.
Same way ugly as the notch in iphoneX, now almost all phones come with notch. Actually that is now a filterable feature on online shops.

If that turns out to be the design I think i will start selling the stocks right before the release and then purchase back after after the quarterly report months lol

I find that with your brand new car that first scratch is not only obvious, but very disconcerting. But after awhile you don’t really care anymore and it doesn’t matter. This is just human nature.

The people who are obsessed over every little tiny imperfection in their car are the ones I think have some sort of mental illness. It’s just a car.

People should skip it. It’s getting too expensive to upgrade every year and why would you want to get the last non-5G iPhone?

I'm thrilled to see all the people in this thread sitting out later this year. That gives me hope that I'll have no problem laying my hands on one of these. The triple camera arrangement ought to get me better photos. The case I'll put on it will deal with the bump. And since it's on the opposite side of the phone from where I'm typically looking, I won't really need to see it all the time. Win/win/win!

I'm surprised of how this happens again and again and again...

The triangular layout is probably related to some 3D features, not possible if they were linearly aligned. And one good design principle is to differentiate functional parts. Something they won't (and shouldn't) do is, like some comments say, "Well, we have this obstacle, so let's make the whole phone 2 mm thicker. Why? Idk, it would look better (spoiler: no), and we can put more battery/weight". It's right to make the phone thicker if you really think it will be better for some real reason, not as an excuse.

I've also seen some people really excited with an iPhone with hard edges à la iPad Pro. Probably, until they had it in their hands for some minutes. They usually say that they iPhone design is boring. I agree: if it changed a lot, I should think it's not really that good. There are lots of companies out there changing their designs every semester because it's their only way to gain attention. And that's why Apple is not like them (despite that creepy TV+ event).

Still have my 735, using it as an ⏰

If apple bring out their own bright sight mode and wide angle is great I guess people won’t care as much

What makes you think people are upgrading every year? Each new iPhone is a huge upgrade from the 3-4 year old iPhones most people upgrade from.

I won't be happy if they only put this in the Max. I won't buy anything that big. Guess I'll stick with my X. I really hope Apple gives me a reason to buy the next one.

I hope they'll continue to offer Xs and Xs Max sizes, not everyone is happy with the bigger phone but since they're both really expensive it would suck to buy the "small" model and have less features...

Anyway I think I'll keep my Xs, I don't feel like buying a new phone every 12 months and we don't have IUP here

Wasn't bothered by the camera bump, dual camera, or the notch but this is pretty fugly tbh. Completely out of proportion to the phone and looks stupid not to centre it at this size. Much prefer the Nokia 9's layout (centred and even flush with the 8mm body of the phone!)
