I'm really not getting the point of Control Centre in OS X.. while I personally don't use Notification Centre I know some people do so I'll avoid talking about that.
OS X is already fully multitasking. System Preferences opens in under a second and volume control, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc — functionality in iOS Control Centre – is already accessible in the menu bar. It seems like nothing more than a duplication of functionality to match iOS which isn't necessary.
The album art is a little bemusing too. If iTunes is open I'll just click the iTunes dock icon to get at it. It's already one-step. There's already enough inconsistency regarding the play/pause key I'm surprise that Apple think they'll be able to pull album art from all kinds of apps. This will just add to user confusion when something isn't compatible.
I would like to see iOS' automatic pausing feature move to OS X (when you disconnect headphones), however.

I didn't use apple products at that time. Looking at screen shots of OSX Tiger, that OS looks outdated and ugly too.

I can say, unequivocally, that this OS "leak" is simply ugly. There really is no defending it. It makes Windows 8 look like a work of art in comparison.

I do agree that this March build of OS X 10.10 looks a bit ugly. But back then, I think Apple used placeholders for the icons and some of the UI. I think Apple has now ironed out UI inconsistencies, and has made much of the design similar to iOS 8.

Just my 50 cents. I don't like the dock, reminds me too much of Tiger. Safari seems more or less legit (the UI is similar to the iTunes and the new iWork). I like the notification panel. Well, its only 4 hours left, we will see what will happen.

It would be really nice to be able to play music without having iTunes open.

I like it. And that means I'll like it even more when I see actual marketing pictures instead of blurry pics!

Another screen

Here is another "real shot" currently going around in twitter. Looks quite different to the screens posted here. Anyways it's probably another fake shot, as the version won't be 1.0.

First, supposing that the images are real, they were taken whilst the UI was still a work in progress (March 24th).

Second, the validity of the images hasn't even been confirmed.

I think there fake. but good hype I guess!

I don't think the UI will be unified. If anything I think a new UI for both IOS8 and 10.10 will be revealed.

Apple knows not to have all that whitespace on computers. It makes it unreadable.

Then by what definition is iTunes not open? You can already hide, minimise, or even close (possibly) the iTunes window and music will still play, as iTunes is still running as an application even if no windows are.

Resume support OS X Snow Leopard Back.

Wish List:

1) Apple to resume support for Snow Leopard.

2) Provide additional drivers to enable installation on later Hardware (in my case 2012 iMac).

3) Lift restriction preventing Snow Leopard Client from being installed in a virtual environment.

This is the wallpaper of upcoming OS X!

Why? It doesn't do anything better than Mavericks. You sound like those people who demand Windows XP be fully supported still. In 2014.

Let it die with dignity.

I really dont like the flat design trend. I like it to feel like I'm clicking on tactile things and getting a physical response verse clicking boring flat icons and text.

Well no, I always preferred Mac to Windows, I just couldn't afford to get a Mac, until I could, then I switched straight away. Generally, if a Windows has all they need, why would they want to switch?

You missed my point I think.

IMO it's an absolutely shocking image to have as the main wallpaper for an OS. Loads of noise in the trees further down the image, poor framing (look at that random branch in the top right) and it doesn't really do Yosemite justice at all.

Sure it'll be cropped but it's still a so-so image.

Pretty much. The 3D dock, the transparent menu bar, the Time Machine interface. There was enough to complain about it seemed. Then Lion came with its greyscale Finder icons, man the internet exploded over that.

To be fair, Apple also allowed a 2d dock, non-transparent menu bar, and Time Machine is hardly used.

Maybe it's just me, but in any form having to worry about my iTunes window placement and app screen is a pain. It just seems so untidy. Just a personal opinion.

I doubt a free OS update will max out your credit card :D

Now for the third time. i know osx updates are now free (everyone does). I was talking about hardware. wishful thinking for a new mac mini and maybe a surprise or two...

I guess i should of be clear that i was talking about hardware in my original post
