ok i know you've seen them before...:D but it's still cool

This one:

Of all the lame, head-in-the-clouds glass-multitouch-LCD-trackpad-omg fanboyshops I've seen, is probably the most passable. It's "Apple".

(someone should chop a Leopard desktop on there though :p)

They better still have PCI-E slots on the pros. My dad is about to get one and has absolute need for it. Hes waiting for the update though - I hope he doesn't get screwed.

Looks far too complicated for Apple.

But with this (nobody likes this?!?), you could have whatever controls you want at your fingertips.

This is a beautiful design, but I think it couldn't be a MacBook or MacBook Pro, it would have to be a brand new product introduced.. Apple has a tendency to replace products with superior products at the same cost points, rather than bumping the prices dramatically - which obviously would have to be done to produce something like this with a full-sized touchscreen AND another screen.

Touch sensitive controls that are on almost every notebook are too complicated for Apple but not two screens one of which doubles as a tablet.

bwahhhahaha. yeah right. can we say "oops its upside down, no wait, yeah , no... is it?" it would turn into a big reflective mirror on both screens. but it looks cool, yes. possible? no.

what if there is no glass trackpad BUT a modeshift trackpad. When surfing the web, word processing, etc. it looks like a normal trackpad (well kinda) but then when in itunes or watching a movie it changes to the controls. I can see how if it was actually leaked or someone saw it they can get confused and think its a glass trackpad.

Here is what I mean..

I think we'll see something very similar to this from Apple before long.
"Museum glass" which is very expensive but much better at reducing reflections than say the reduced reflections glass in the iMac would reduce the reflection level down to a nominal amount. It's incredible glass that would mean reflections from the higher screen would barely show up at all on the lower screen.
Call it a MacBook Elite!! I want one NOW and I bet Apples working on it!

Now that you mention it... it would probably confuse people if only one screen were touchable. So, while we're dreaming, might as well make both sides touch screens. :)

40k in New Zealand if you want screens.....
But hey, atleast I qualified for free shipping....apple is like father xmas.
