Maybe to give it's Stock a boost, Apple comes out with $700 Macbook's tomorrow. Yes I know doubtful, but just a thought.

It's not really a big deal. I'm planning to call the store before I go there, and if they don't have any on hand then I'll order online before I leave New York.

hope it will be worth it. It will be my first mac so super excited! I only use it for your average user, internet, documents, pictures, music, photoshop, etc. Im quite excited about the software bundled into the mac hehehe... i cant stand the crap PC manufacturers pre-load on the systems

Apple owns 80% of the computers that cost more than 1000$ That means that almost everybody that got money go for Apple.
Well, if Apple would made their products cheaper, would people buy a Dell?
One of the only reasons people are buying Dells or other no to expensive computers is the price point.
If Apple would make 700$ MAcbooks, it will rock and the compagny would get a HUGE boost.

If the MB airs were updated tomorrow I'd have to consider it. Providing it was a decent upgrade.
I find the lack of rumors disturbing. I was hoping for tomorrow...but the lack of rumors makes me doubtful. My computer running XP just crashed for no apparent reason, I wasn't even using it. I hope my computer doesn't fatally fail before the Macbook Pros get here.

Well if the new macbook is thinner and aluminuim i doubt there will still be too much of a market for the Air.
Minor speed bumps are usually slipped in casually, but people are bound to notice...don't ask me how.

well if the mba is the only one upgraded tomorow and its cool, Ill buy it for sure because the MBA is still a great machine and yeah, if it has a bigger hard drive than now and more matureness, it's mine
Like that, if I find it too slow after a year for a primary computer, i'll get a mac mini(if it gets an update
) and I'll still have a great machine for portability(school, travel(I travel a lot), etc)How about a second USB port ?
I think the MacBook Air needs a FireWire 400 port more importantly.
