Aluminum MacBook Pro Case Photo?

I seriously doubt we will see any update to anything until after iphone 3g is rolled out. Ole Stevey boy, would never tolerate show stealing competition from his baby the iphone 3g.

One thing at a time.

If we do see an update, and that's a big IF, it will probably be towards the end of July or early August. With the intent of capturing some of the back-to-school market.

If not then, I suppose there is no reason for Apple to update the Mac line until possibly October for christmas sales or Macworld 2009 for something new to show with Snow Leopard.

this place has become a ghost town. Theres no way I'm going to sleep before the store comes back up. somebody speculate with me.

regarding what somebody said earlier about the screen on the front it was more of a dream than anything but it could eventually happen.

anyways, I wont expect these pictures to become true till nehalem but hey, I could (and would love to) be wrong.

Will try, but my hope would be for their QC to go up, but no new product would tell, now would it?

Other than that, how abouts some matte screened Macbooks? All-glossy MBPs (Eww, but THAT might well happen)?

I seriously doubt it. It would be like saying that a van might come out with huge roof-spoilers and golden pimp-mobile hubs. The "extra screen"-thing even failed on cell phones. And there they even had a purpose (on flip phones, you could see who was calling without opening it, and tell the time in the same manner).

I just wish they'd do away with all that cheapo anaodized aluminium. They're ruining my Tolomeos* :-(

*Artemide Tolomeo is a lamp of classic design. Anodized as well, but the MBPs is giving the anodizing a bad name. There's a reason Apple dropped the [edit: iPod] Mini: The anodizing wore off, and they were to cheap to get it done it done properly.

If Apple keeps the all aluminium enclosure, as they almost certainly will, how are they going to do a glow around black apple? Aluminium is not transparent, or even translucent. Unless it's very thin, in which case it would just break. Maybe if it was actually perspex or something painted aluminium, but who would want that?

Magnetic latch, some better air vents so Apple can put a Mobility Radeon HD 3850 or 70 in there, Montevina of course, some extra RAM, and maybe a higher res screen, and Apple have a winner.

They could just have a smaller apple inset in the plastic apple. It would be dead simple to make – noone is saying the dark in middle would have to be part of the case.

It's not a split thing. The top (the thing above the "split" is the top cover, the lid, if you will, without the plastic apple inserted. The part below the "split" is what is assumed to be the battery cover (i.e. part of the bottom). But because it's just the case, the shells, they're both laid net to each other. They're separate parts. One is the top, the other bottom, both laid with the outisde up, and next to eachother.
 
If the whole macbook pro thing is a fake, then the store is probably down so they can add MobileMe. It's launching pretty quick...

And, it is a tuesday..... XD
 
The Apple glowing logo is the coolest thing I've ever seen on a laptop. I can't believe they'll abandon it. There must be a reason for the 3 holes to be there.

Edit: Come to think of it, when I first looked at the picture, I had the same "What the hell is that thing in the middle? It looks like a turned over dinner tray", lol
 
Just so that I can be on record as saying this,
the apple store being down probably has nothing to do with this picture of a possible macbook pro, released just hours beforehand.

Nah, Ive will cut the feet, straighten the legs by removing the knees, and remove the boy's "lefty appendage", all to make it look better from the side. Who cares if it's useful when he grows up, and AS he grows up.

In other words, you don't want Jonathan Ive to "take care" of your kids.
