It’s funny I been doing Samsung phones for a while and never experienced screen burn in unless it was a store model on a constant loop. Why does this keep coming up?
Because OLED has the potential to burn-in. That's just anecdote, your experience. This topic brings up a lot of due to fear of resale value.

Battery should be only slightly less than a Plus, yet it feels more like a 6,7,8. I would never worry if my phone was going to make it through the day with my Plus. Now it feels like I am afraid to use my phone cause I can watch the battery draining while I'm texting for 5 minutes. I'm currently on 60% with only 3 hours 30 minutes use

Face ID must really suck that battery juice hard. It’s a Plus-sized battery with nothing else in the phone that would drain the battery faster than an 8 Plus. Maybe the A11 is hungrier than the A10 though.

I decided to give the 8 Plus a try before preordering the X and although I liked the screen size I really thought the phone's size and weight were major drawbacks. To me the X gives me a larger screen on a smaller form factor so it's perfect for me. I get why others would get the 8 Plus because it's also a great phone.

And I turned off raise to wake so Face ID doesn't constantly kick in just from picking up my phone

You might be OP.

Coming from a Jet Black 7 Plus I have no desire to go back. Will I consider an X Plus type phone next year? probably, but as of now I have no desire to go back to a plus size phone.

My reasons may be completely personal so YMMV but for one I never want to use Touch ID after spending 3 Days with Face ID, it is so much more intuitive than touch ID that it is crazy to me. The OLED for me is a big improvement, my 7 Plus screen was very nice but I am happier with the OLED. Edge to Edge screen is so much more pleasant than the huge bezels top and bottom on the Plus size model and the form factor of having a large screen in such a small form factor is my preference for now.

This. Couldn't agree more. It took a while getting used to the X without the home button but so far I've trained my self to adjust very quickly. But of course to each their own. I'll be keeping my iPhone X.

Am I crazy for wanting to return my iPhone X for a Plus?

Went from a 6S Plus to the X and I feel like it's a step down.

I love Face ID, but everything else seems like a downgrade.

The screen looks great, but it does turn blue. It's 5.8 inches, yet feels a lot smaller.

[doublepost=1509943694][/doublepost]Save your money. I ordered the X and retuning. I currently have the 7plus and the notch and lack of screen width is reason for my return on the X. Some like that form factor but it’s noticable difference for sure if coming front the plus

Nope. We all got different needs.

Dasher and tethering sucks on iOS. Can't make an iPhone X my daily driver even if I ended up loving the X hardware.

The saying that Android apps have always been inferior to iOS has always been a myth. Dasher, SwiftKey, and Viber are all superior on Android.

Whatever floats your boat. My life jacket says Dasher with an Android logo next to it.

No, of course not.

The iPhone 8 Plus is a great choice. It's the best iPhone that's currently out there, imo. I'll get the iPhone X' successor if, and only if, it comes at a larger screen size than the current model.

I’ll give the X to my wife next week as a gift and return to my 8+.

As of right now I prefer the 8+. All around I think it’s the better device for how I use my iPhone.

The biggest issue is the X’s smaller display canvas. All content on the 8+ is presented larger which I prefer.

I returned mine. Going with an 8 Plus for now. When they come out with an X Plus, I will be the first to order one. I tried getting used to the narrow screen but couldn’t. It happens. No big deal.
I hope the X plus comes in rose gold and no notch! It doesn't look uniform with that notch.

No. There's no need to post about it either. Just get whatever phone works best for you and enjoy life.

I think others can still post about their concerns to why they would consider a return and open it up for discussion, because it leads to others' thoughts and regards to why they might consider returning their device as well. So I don't necessarily see your point here. But I do agree that someone should purchase whatever they want to be content with.

So you’re getting it replaced I presume!

Well I went into a second chat and did the same test and they said it passed the test and there is no problem. My nearest store is an hour away, I'm not going to go and have them tell me "nope everything is fine we can't do anything" cause I'll punch someone in the face. (it's happened numerous times in that store) So i'm going to call first, talk to a manager and explain what happened. If they even have replacement units I'll gladly go replace it. For now I'm doing a DFU restore because their other suggestion was to reset settings, when I did it said "documents and data are being uploaded to icloud" and I could either hit erase anway or wait and erase. I didn't have anything uploading... So maybe something was stuck and constantly uploading?

You're not crazy at all. I actually perfer the iPhone 7 Plus 1920 x 1080 screen resolution vs the iPhone X 2436 x 1125 screen resolution. With the 7 Plus, I'm able to watch a youtube 1080p native video full screen with no cropping, vs cropping on the iPhone X or if you do edge to edge on the iPhone X, some of the video is cut out. That might not bother some people but it bothers me.

For people coming for a normal size iPhone the X must be wonderfull but when you're coming from a Plus well...
I have a 8 + and was thinking about getting a X but not sure anymore....
Finally why spend more money to get a smaller screen , face id instead of touch id ( it's only a different way to unlock the phone in no way it is better or faster) , and no home button.
Oled screen? well from what I read here and there it's far to be "perfect".

You're not crazy.
