But TV Hershel was more like Comic Dale in many ways.

If they do the Hunters, his absence will be obvious.

Did either of you catch the Talking Dead after the season finale? The scene they showed for the second half of the season was right out of the comics. I have a feeling we are going to see the following:

Rick with the telephone again
Meet up with the people
Find Rick's new right hand man next to Daryl
Meet up with Carol again
Get a glimpse or two of the Hunters
Maybe see the preacher!

There is a lot to cover between the comic book end of the prison arc and meeting the Saviors. I could see them doing something like they did with the prison, panning up and seeing he Saviors compound, or have a shot of a guys feet looking down on the group and then the baseball bat falls down next to his feet.

I am wondering what they will do when they finally catch up to the books!

I missed Talking Dead. I could easily see the Hunters as a diversion before DC, in fact we may have all ready seen evidence of that (the once populated, then deserted camp) and waiting for someone named Ford and Rosita to appear. :D

Holy ****, I was on edge for that whole episode.

Herschel's death was by far the most brutal thing shown so far.

If he had done it right, Hershel's head would have gone sailing on the first strike. :p I did say I was going to miss Hershel. His type of character, Dale preceeding him were anchors to civility.

I just don't think the TV Governor projected his meanness convincingly. Yes he did do bad things, but in a fashion, it seemed to be out of this actor's character, if that makes any sense. I bet in real life, he (the actor) is a nice guy. :) In the comic, you had no doubts they were dealing with a bad hombre.

Yeah, comic Governor took Rick's hand with a single blow. None of this let's take three frames to get the job done. :p

It's a bit odd, but maybe TV Tyrese will move some into the Dale/Herschel role. His TV version seems a bit more civil than his comic version. Though I hesitate to think how he will react if they encounter Carol.

Yeah, comic

Technically, Tyreese still doesn't know. Rick and Daryl were taking a bit too long with their explanation about the dissected rat when the first tank shell hit the prison; they hadn't yet specifically mentioned Carol's involvement to Tyreese.

I'm sure someone will fill him in early next season, though.

Walking Dead....New season starts Feb 9th!

So who can't wait for the new season of Walking Dead!

I'm excited for the continuation of season 4. I hate these mid-season breaks!!

I'm interested to see how true they will stay to the comic book from this point forward. If they do, there will be some good story arcs coming our way!

i got bored during the 3rd season it seems its just a constant loop of the same material

they find a base
get overrun
somebody dies
venture off to find somewhere else to go

That is basically the story in a nutshell. But then again you can break down most any show on tv to that level.

But you are correct. That is how the books are also. The struggle to live in a world that is turned upside down.

Best show ever! Can't wait. Wife and I usually watch together but she will be out of town...not sure I can wait for her to get home. I'm sure someone would ruin it for me before she got back.

Agreed. It feels like a sleepy loop of the same type of episodes, over and over. I've kept up with the series and I've seen every episode. But I kinda "fell asleep" after the 2nd season. I still have hope that it'll pick up eventually, so I'm sure I'll keep watching.

it just gets very old, the same as breaking bad if you have seen that show. shows i really get into don't have as much as an episode to episode storyline. episodes have their own story and there is a much bigger story that you are given bit by bit.

So ready for tonight! I plan to watch episode 1-8 before it starts tonight.

I just finished watching the repeat, not bad. I really wasn't sure where they were going to take this one but glad they didn't go into too many different stories in one episode. The show did have its nail biter (no pun intended) moments like seeing whether or not Carl was going to get bit, obviously he wasn't but everyone is fair game on the show. Definitely a character development episode for both Carl and Michonne (loved getting to see more about her past).

Seeing Hershel's zombie head was a punch in the gut because it sucked seeing what happened to him in the mid-season finale.

The other thing that I was disappointed in was seeing The Governor dead with a bullet hole in his head. I was really hoping that he would end up a walker because death was too good for him.

One last thing, what was with the worms? When Michonne put an end to Hershel and when Carl shot a zombie in the head, it looked like worms were coming out of the entry point, something I've never seen before on the show.

New extra special, extra juicy special effects? ;) So if dead flesh is animated, is it really dead? Better not to analyze that... :p

I've got new episodes (hopefully) sitting on my DVR for when I get home.

I missed watching live this Sunday and hoping to find the latest episode on On Demand but it wasn't posted. I have Time Warner, anyone else have this issue?
