But TV Hershel was more like Comic Dale in many ways.
If they do the Hunters, his absence will be obvious.

Did either of you catch the Talking Dead after the season finale? The scene they showed for the second half of the season was right out of the comics. I have a feeling we are going to see the following:
Rick with the telephone again
Meet up with the people
Find Rick's new right hand man next to Daryl
Meet up with Carol again
Get a glimpse or two of the Hunters
Maybe see the preacher!
There is a lot to cover between the comic book end of the prison arc and meeting the Saviors. I could see them doing something like they did with the prison, panning up and seeing he Saviors compound, or have a shot of a guys feet looking down on the group and then the baseball bat falls down next to his feet.
I am wondering what they will do when they finally catch up to the books!
Holy ****, I was on edge for that whole episode.
Hershel's death was by far the most brutal thing shown so far.
If he had done it right, Hershel's head would have gone sailing on the first strike.![]()
Yeah, comic
It's a bit odd, but maybe TV Tyrese will move some into the Dale/Herschel role. His TV version seems a bit more civil than his comic version. Though I hesitate to think how he will react if they encounter Carol.

i got bored during the 3rd season it seems its just a constant loop of the same material
they find a base
get overrun
somebody dies
venture off to find somewhere else to go

That is basically the story in a nutshell. But then again you can break down most any show on tv to that level.
But you are correct. That is how the books are also. The struggle to live in a world that is turned upside down.
So ready for tonight! I plan to watch episode 1-8 before it starts tonight.
I just finished watching the repeat, not bad. I really wasn't sure where they were going to take this one but glad they didn't go into too many different stories in one episode. The show did have its nail biter (no pun intended) moments like seeing whether or not Carl was going to get bit, obviously he wasn't but everyone is fair game on the show. Definitely a character development episode for both Carl and Michonne (loved getting to see more about her past).
Seeing Hershel's zombie head was a punch in the gut because it sucked seeing what happened to him in the mid-season finale.
The other thing that I was disappointed in was seeing The Governor dead with a bullet hole in his head. I was really hoping that he would end up a walker because death was too good for him.
One last thing, what was with the worms? When Michonne put an end to Hershel and when Carl shot a zombie in the head, it looked like worms were coming out of the entry point, something I've never seen before on the show.
