Basically, the all out war started with rick leading one group to first try and reason with negan and when that failed, they started shouting. No one died. Ricks other groups took out a lot of negans look outs and they attacked some other of negans hide outs as well. When rick and his group retreated from negans main place (part of the attack was leading walkers to the hide out)the priest got separated because he stayed to save the old leader of the hilltop who was loyal to Negan. The old leader then got in the priest car without him and left him there. Priest ran from walkers and locked himself in a shipping container and it turned out Negan was in there. Negan made a time to **** your pants joke and the episode ended.

wait, you mean the the priest/gabe? so he became a traitor?

No, he was showing compassion to Gregory even though the latter was siding with Negan in a CYA move.

Rick's people were leaving, Gregory got tossed down the stairs by Negan, he was zombie food, and Gabriel couldn't let that happen - but in the attempt to save him, Gregory F-ed him over.

ohh ok, got it. thanks for clarifying.

Ok saw S8/ep1 and ep2. episode 1 was alittle slow. second episode was better. negan is going down. and how did the saviors know that the king & carol and co. were coming?

We’re also getting some good ideas about the outcome by who we *don’t* see in the flashforwards.

So far so good. They’re moving quickly and progressing the plot. Can’t wait for next week!

I'm pretty sure they didn't until that one guy escaped from them.

How does this show survive going forward? Who is manufacturing the ammunition and the gasoline these folks are using after eight seasons?

Thinking of spending the time learning a language instead of watching these goobers walk around in circles walk around in circles walk around in circles...

Well another bad episode. So poorly directed. And what was with that horrible 80s action movie music during the car chase? Another guy, the king, being surprised that dead people are gonna turn into walkers. And yeah I get he was sad about the tiger, but run dude. She’s gone. What are you waiting for?

Carol is still a bad ass. :)

Some of the action seemed to be a bit far fetched or maybe too convenient.
I can’t believe they killed off Kitty. :(:(

I read that the show’s ratings are down.

Worst directed dead ever. And that’s saying a lot. They let an editor direct for his first time. Bad choice. Ratings are down because people are sick of the bad action, stupid plotting, etc etc. the producers say this show could
Go on for a decade. No way.

Personally, I believe the show has reached a plateau that will be hard to move above. So this is 4 episodes of skirmishes? It’s lacking the tension of them being under Negan’s thumb, and the skirmishes don’t feel all that satisfying, nor does it feel like all that much progress is being made. I won’t be surprised after this season, they don’t ride off in the sunset to live happily ever after. :D

My understanding is that the comics have quite a few more things and storylines going on beyond where things are in the TV show.

I used to read the comic, but have let it slide... not because I did not like it, just got wrapped up with the show. My comment was focused on the reality of the TV show and the ability to spark genuine new interest after this story arc is complete. I did read the comic up through the Negan arc at least to the end of hostilities as we are seeing on the show.

Based off of the story arc in the comic book, I can tell you with confidence that the "tension with Negan" is only going to get more intense. It is going to be very interesting to see how they wrap up the "All Out War" part and where things go from there. I will say it is one of the most dramatic and unexpected storylines that I have ever seen and I think the show has a chance to really shine if they do it well.

@mscriv I agree completely! I am very interested to see how they pull it off!

You are referring to the slicing and then saving of our big bad guy correct? And the breaking of Rick's leg.....

Which would explain the cane Rick was walking with in the flash back sequence.

Yes, and what happens following that in terms of the decision Rick makes.

Are people no longer posting here because the show can't get any worse? I'm addicted to this show and can't quit it. If the naked art class in trashland didn't do it, nothing will.
