I was hoping for an Adam and Allison smackdown!

Usually my favorites don't make it to the final 4 and I've quit watching by this point. This season has held my interest longer.

I was too! That would have been awesome! Still- it's gonna be nice to see Adam win. He really does deserve it. The guy is one hell of a singer.

I think it will be Adam and Danny in the finals, or at least that's who I thought in the beginning.

Chris has stepped up, even though this week was not his best performance.

Adam is the winner.

The others look third, fourth, fifth rate in comparison.

Not usually a fan of these ido/x factor things but he is unique talent in the Elvis vein.

He should be truly great.

Speaking as a married heterosexual male but the guy is just brilliant.

I think of Adam as more of a very successful entertainer in the Las Vegas Wayne Newton type of artist. He can have a long, steady career working in an overly theatrical show vs. being a rock star like Elvis.

But Elvis did cross over very successfully into having a steady Vegas gig, too after his rock star, pop idol days.

When I saw Clay Aiken, I knew he wouldn't continue only as a pop singer as Ruben Studdard has. Clay was destined for at least a run on Broadway since he has those theatrical qualities. Adam is the same type of performer as Clay. Danny, on the other hand, does not have that acting presence and his career will mostly likely be on the pop charts as a singing artist. Adam will have to find his way on broadway and maybe even in Hollywood. He's a star, but as good as a singer as he is, it's not anything close to what he's good at. I can see a huge remake of the movie "Grease", topping the summer blockbusters and making millions, and having Adam star in it. It may be early to say, but Adam has the vibe of a young John Travolta.

I think Adam is on his way to being an overall celebrity who does a little of everything, like J-Lo and "singer" will be way down on his resume. I think Jennifer Hudson crossed over from merely being a pop star singer to being a little empire once she won that Oscar.

Agreed. We've never seen anyone with that level of talent on Idol before. The guy is phenomenal and has such great range.

Adam is WAY ahead of everyone else. I've thought this for a long time now. Oddly enough, I didn't really like his audition. (He did Bohemian Rhapsody and while it was good, I thought it was a bit overdone. I'm a huge Queen fan, though, so in my mind, it's VERY hard to come close to Freddie.)

Honestly, I thought Danny was good in the beginning, but he just seems to be getting worse and worse as time goes on. I thought he should have went home last week, instead of Allison.

I've been watching Idol for the past 3 seasons and I honestly believe he's the best singer I've seen on there. As others have said, his range is AMAZING and he's a performer. People keep bringing up broadway, etc. and say that he can't be a success in music. I don't believe that's the case. Look at people like Freddie Mercury. He was a showman and an amazing singer and that's what I get from Adam.

For the record, I wasn't much of a fan of his version of "Ring Of Fire," by Johnny Cash, but everything else has been awesome.

I think Adam can have a short, but successful career in pop music, maybe, but as an all around entertainer with the triple threat of broadway, pop music, and acting, he can be a major long term celebrity.

He has a lot of talents but is still not primarily a pop singer. He is an actor who happens to sing, but can become a big name in Hollywood. Jennifer Hudson has done it, and so can Adam. He's a natural actor like Jennifer.

I agree with most of that, but I really think he could come up with some unique music and shake up the music scene a bit. That is, if the record companies let him have any artistic input.

Seems the record companies seem to have a way of destroying an artist's creativity a lot of the time.

Personally, I'd like to see him front a classic rock/industrial/glam hybrid, as Kara said. Something unique.

If Adam takes that approach, he can be like Freddie Mercury or David Bowie and create a theatrical show. Pink Floyd is also adept at this. Tommy, the Rock Opera, could be remade with Adam as the lead character.

Heck, he can even do something along the lines of Kiss/Slipknot and use his best talent, and that is of a showman. Mick Jagger may strut better than he sings, but he is a legend. At least Adam has the big voice, too as well as the strut and showmanship.

I would really love to see Kris Allen win. At this point, Adam doesn't need to win, he will be releasing an album no matter what.

I think Kris may be more in need of winning Idol. And I love his music/style. Adam, while I think he is a great singer/performer, does not sing music anywhere near to what I enjoy listening to on a daily basis.

He will have to seriously step up his game. He has been safe when Adam was in the bottom three. But Kris has been in the bottom three when both Adam and Danny were safe.

Danny is yet to get into the bottom three so I think he's certainly in the final. The only way Adam can fail to make the final is if he has bad song choice. Adam's vocals are good no matter what he does so I don't anticipate bad vocals from him. Danny can be up and down, but is mostly up when it comes to vocals and if he isn't on top of singing, he has a song choice that protects him.

Tonight will be very interesting and if Kris makes it tomorrow, then he will clearly be underdog in finals. If Kris does not make it, then it will be a predictable final which can go either way, ala Ruben v. Clay.

Just voted for Kris about 100 times. He is so great, he NEEDS to get to the final 2 next week. His music is just the kind I like.

I voted for Adam for the full 2 hours on Tuesday. I'd have posted sooner, but my internet was out.

Anyway, I was pretty shocked that the final 2 is Adam and Kris. I really figured it'd be Adam and Danny.

All you Adam fans better vote next week!

I'm just glad for an Adam/Kris finale! I would have rather seen Alison/Adam, but Kris showed that he deserved it this week. It's gonna be a hell of a show next week. Can't wait!

Danny, my favorite of the three is out and would have given Adam a fair fight. I have a feeling Adam will decisively take this whole thing by a large margin. I like Kris better than Adam in a lot of ways, but Kris lacks that star presence Adam has.

It's not just a singing competition as the judges claim. Showmanship is at least a small part of what this comes down to. Yes, singing is still the most important component in this thing, but Adam still has it over Kris as for singing chops.

What Kris has is a little more originality and sincerity, but it's so subtle it is not quite a "show". Adam puts on a full veteran rock star event every time he hits the stage. He looks like he has been doing this for 40 years. He works the camera better than many a pro. Win or lose, Adam has a future in all forms of entertainment.

Danny was my least favorite. He'd become so white bread/Michael Bolton. He started out so well and was my favorite at the beginning. But he didn't really grow much. That said, he should be fine and have a nice career doing adult contemporary stuff. That's a shame too. He should be much better than that, but I don't think he is.

yes, I agree. Kris makes Jack Johnson seem energetic. And I'm glad the media hasn't caused more of a ***** storm over Adam's orientation.

We don’t know for sure if Glambert is gay — all he says is he has nothing to hide or deny — but if not, it’s the gayest embodiment of flaming youth by a straight guy since Bowie sold the world. Glambert plays off the new gay stereotype that has been reality TV’s gift to our culture: the hyperfunctional gay dude who has his **** together in contrast to all the neurotic, insecure straight guys around him.

I think part of it was his song choice. I think Danny has some real soul and can be a lot more accessible than Michael Bolton. And though Bolton is not my thing, he hasn't exactly done bad for himself.

I think a part of what Idol strives for is teeny bopper music and that's why they cut the age limit off at 30. It's the core market of the music industry but I would like to see a Jazz Idol, Country Idol, R&B Idol, or Adult Contemporary Idol but I know it won't happen. Though there are genres from week to week, the main focus is on the pop tunes of the Billboard Top 40. I knew that Carrie Underwood claimed she was going to go gospel and country, but she is still pretty much a pop icon and the Idol franchise seeks to keep it this way.

I doubt it will be a large margin. Ryan said the top 2 were separated by roughly 1 million votes...out of 88 million. Mostly will probably depend on who the majority of Danny's votes go to in the final.

Of course this show has defied logic so many times with who has won/was eliminated that I never know may happen, until it actually does.

Last season, Archuleta blew Cook away in the final as far as performances go, but Cook was voted the winner. Guess I'll just sit back and enjoy the show as usual ;)

That was a great season. I totally thought that David Archuleta won that one as did David Cook. If Kris wins, I will be happy but also very surprised.
