A week before the announcement they were trolling apple about the things you won’t find on an Apple phone and a week later rushing to copy them
Let's hope a developer from Apple sees this and decides to fight back by copying Android in allowing users to selectively copy text from a text message 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣.

Things you won't find on an Apple phone #452

Look at how ugly that phone is, what’s the point of making a hole punch camera, if it still has a forehead. The phone would look better if they put the camera up there, and made the side bezels the same size. The screen should be equidistant from the edge of the phone.

I doubt that alone would fix anything. The OS isn't modular; it's a black box. That's the same reason you can't, for example, tear the dock out of macOS and put in a 3rd party replacement like you can on Linux.
Uhh, you can tear the dock out of macOS and put a 3rd party replacement though. It's called uBar https://ubarapp.com/

If you believe for second that the Dynamic Island is a unique selling feature, knowing it's primarily software based, I have an island to sell you 😉. I'm only surprised it took this long.
Finally, someone with some common sense. Amazing to see so many apple fanboys willing to jump on a grenade for apple just because some random dev (not google/samsung/android) copied dynamic island.

If this is supposed to be a dunk on Android, its a terrible comparison. The tablet market is pretty much dead... except for apple who seems to be trying to replace the mac with ipads.
Whats your iphone to android phone numbers?
We don't use phones for the business apps we need, the screens are not big enough.

I think its cool that Android developers can so quickly and openly implement things released on an iPhone for whatever its worth.... On an iPhone if you want to implement a new android feature you have to jump through hoops and jailbreak. Not cool enough for me to switch though.. I love my smooth, uncluttered, simple, minimalistic OS too much.

First of all, this is from some 3rd party developer and not a manufacturer implemented feature. Secondly, this is not 2010. Times have changed. Android is not laggy. It is now a lot smoother with even faster scrolling speed. If you want to talk about bad lags, look no further than the iphone version of google maps.
I feel I can comment on this as I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and a Galaxy Fold 4. Android is still laggy sometimes, yes it’s vastly improved to where it was in 2010 but it’s still not iOS levels of smooth.

I don’t think tablet market never been alive, iPad market other hand is very alive. Google and Android companies ruined Android tablets many many years ago already.

That’s propably what this guy meant.

Pathetic. Didn’t even add anything new…not one new creative idea. Even copied flaws in the Dynamic Island…few as they are.

How do you like the Fold 4? They seem pretty cool, but I’m pretty sure I would destroy a folding phone as rough as I am on phones.

Umm the iPad is a tablet. It’s just unfortunate that Google can’t seem to make a proper tablet OS and have apps to compete with iPadOS. It’s not the hardware because while Apple has significant advantage there, most people aren’t using a tablet for processor intensive applications. They are using it to browse the web and light computing. Right now android tablets are just oversized phones and that’s not going to work in a market with the iPad

Can you deny permissions, but still install the app?
You can but it won’t work :)

After you install it it asks for all permissions to be enabled.
If you don’t, you can’t use it.

And even Android gives you countdown timer warnings that you are aware about the permissions you allow😂
