Android Outsells iPhone Globally

Android based smartphones outsold iOS based smartphones. That means Android is more popular than iOS. No amount of digging is going to make that any different! You might as well just accept that and move on with your life!
If you own an Apple product, they call you a "Crapple zombie". It's very bizarre. I see a lot more hostility from Android users. Android users are like Teabaggers and Apple users are like pot smoking hippie liberals.
No, it means Android is more popular than iOS on smartphones only. If you can't see that each of your sentences means something completely different from the other, you need help. Android smartphones outsold iOS smartphones, but iOS is more popular than Android because many more devices run iOS and have a much larger installed base than Android. Does that make more sense?
Why don't you do the same?
At least the terms iPhone, iTV, iPod, and i-anything are named in a much more personal and individual manner than something called Android. Aren't androids synthetic beings? You're a douche anyway if you're defined by the products you own, but it's even worse if you define yourself by a product which, by its very definition, is less than human.

Yes that's what I meant; in the world of smartphones, Android is more popular than iOS. However, some people are really having a very hard time grasping that, and I can't see why.
Kudos for saying that you're a douche if you're defined by the products you own. It's a pity you then went on to define a whole swathe of people based on the product they own. Douche much? LOL.
it took them that long?? Andriod has been the OS on 50+phones, on pretty much every newtork in the US. on every different network. Apple iOS has been on 4 phones. on one carrier in the US.....whoopie!!!

Meh, I really couldn't care less. Like I said in another thread, unless you're financially invested in the company who makes the product or you work for them, they should be the ones fighting for YOUR loyalty - not the other way around.
I currently own an iP4 and love it. And I take a lot of crap from some Android owners I know too. But, the fact of the matter, though, is that when someone goes to their local cellphone store to pick one out, it doesn't matter if there are 1 million Android-running cellphones and just 1 iPhone, people are choosing an Android phone over the iPhone. Apple needs to step it up with their updates.

My old Sony Ericsson K800i had heaps of apps. They just were not all compiled in one place. Also, Google purchased Android before the iPhone was released, it just wasnt the touchscreen interface that it is today, but rather a Blackberryesque OS. No one should thank Apple for making anything unless they profit from it in some way.

It's the truth. You don't what you're talking about. There will be no Android market if it weren't for iPhone.
Fandroids are easy to defeat because secretly they know Apple makes a better product; its just that they are mad at the style because its so polished and it rubs them the wrong way. They are very childish and competitive like that. Its like how country folk hate "city-slickers".

I think this thread needs locking now as it's going nowhere. Some people are clearly incapable of accepting that Android based smartphones now outsell iOS based smartphones and instead of actually having some discussion on the topic, the whole topic has turned into a farse.
Lol. Fanboy. It's one thing to support a product you like, but to ignore the facts is just stupid. I was the one who said there was no concept of an App Store, you said apps didn't exist. Wikipedia has an image of an early Android-based phone and a record of its purchase date to support my argument.

Chill out buddy. The thread title is android outsells iphone (not iOS), which is a no-brainer considering the huge number of devices (many of them cheap) that have android installed. There isn't a single android device that has sold nearly as many units as the iPhone. Are you capable of accepting that? Just whine some more and beg the mods to lock the thread because people disagree with you.
Of course I'm capable of accepting that because that's the reality! What I have issue with is that people are deliberately diverting the topic to either be about Android vs iOS or about 1 Android device vs the iPhone. This is not what the topic is about, and I have suggested to said people that if they want to discuss either of those 2 topics, they should start a new thread about it.
The impression that this 'diversion' gives is that some people are just 'sore losers' as they try to minimise or downplay the news story. Why can't people just admit that Android is doing really well, and that there are clearly strengths in the platform that Apple are missing? As an iPhone 4 owner myself, I have no issue what so ever saying that. Why is it so hard for other people to see that?
Ummm no. Your logic is what's twisted, especially if you believe it. I have a droid x over the iPhone (being a previous iphone owner) because it suits my needs better then the iPhone. I could have purchased an IP4 if I chose, but the droid x met my needs better so in a word its a better product for me
