While I am not into the emoji crap I have to say these videos were very clever and fun. At least a smart use for these emojis.

What have we become? $1145 to play with animated emoji. :(

Well, the next step will be rigging the tech to work with other user created characters. Adobe has been after this with its animation software and after effects for years now. Apple just released it in a phone like it was no big deal.

Having fun would be discovering the great outdoors not this materistic s**t!
It's a rainy Sunday on the east coast. Animojis were invented for weekends like this.

Since Snap has already worked with the TrueDepth API, I'm expecting many cool apps to allow for custom creature creation that tracks accurately to our faces. Near studio quality CG FX without a studio. This is so much bigger than poop Animojis.

It’s so much fun and thanks for Apple so that people can glue to their work to phones like never before.

Apple changes everything, again ! Tim Cook > Steve Jobs ! So amazing ! First the emoji touchbar, now this ! The future is here !

I saw your video & think I gave you a heart!
[doublepost=1509896829][/doublepost]I am almost 61 years old & spent yesterday on twitter enjoying Animoji karaoke. This stuff is just pure fun & lord knows this cancer patient needs all the fun she can get:)

Heart back at-cha! Good luck with your treatment, I wish you all the best, glad my silly idea gave you a distraction :)

While these animoji karaoke videos are cute and fun, I really think Tim Cook needs to send an iPhone X to Sir Patrick Stewart to do the Master Class - Quadruple Take with the fox animoji.

You people deserve D. Trump as the guy that represents you.
Says a person making passive aggressive comments over the internet to strangers. Because someone was enthusiastic about something entertaining, nonetheless. I won’t comment on what you deserve.

Not everything in my life needs to be supremely purposeful and with reason. Some things aren’t that serious.

I think all posts about emoji and animoji belong in the religious/political forum given the anger they seem to generate.

I am thinking of recoding all team messages to my team as the unicorn animoji - to alleviate some of the seriousness of our jobs.

My son is going to love borrowing his mum's phone and sending me these (mort likely poop animoji - he is eight).

Personally anything that brings joy to people is a good thing in these serious times.

This is not why I bought the iPhone X - for me this is a freebie bonus!

So this is why today’s average person need yesterday’s super computer in their pocket

Animoji is a joke, not a feature, and has 0% to do with why I have purchased an X.

That said, It is actually kinda fun, and makes the kid inside me laugh, sometimes out loud.

The Geek inside me finds it amazing how well it works, considering that it was not long ago that such animation tech required multiple G5 Towers (or Pentium 4 systems) linked together in an array just to do video animation of faces for some of our favorite computer animated films. Amazing how powerful these handheld devices we cary around all day have become. This goes for devices running both Android and iOS.

There's life indoors too. A time for everything. So don't be such pooper, and keep in mind that when you are outdoors, your chances of stepping on poop are much, much higher! :D

If people only bought phones for serious stuff, we would all still be using Blackberries.

An animated cat, fox, pig, and rooster singing Bohemian Rhapsody is the epitome of a new social media phenomenon dubbed Animoji Karaoke.

Over the past week, both reviewers and customers lucky enough to have the device in their hands have shared fun, humorous videos of Animoji in action, ranging from goofy voiceovers to full-out music videos.

Animoji, for those unaware, are custom animated characters that use your voice and mirror your facial expressions captured by the iPhone X's new TrueDepth camera system. You can even record yourself as a Pile of Poo.

Creator: Mia Harrison

iPhone X users can create Animoji recordings up to 10 seconds long in the Messages app, but the internet discovered that iOS 11's new screen recording feature allows for much lengthier clips. Enter Animoji Karaoke.

The idea was conceived by technology reporter Harry McCracken, who decided it might be fun to lip-sync a song and have an Animoji character mimic his performance. From there, similar videos have spread on social media.

To create your own Animoji Karaoke, play a song loudly enough for it to be picked up by the iPhone X's microphone while lip-syncing. After messaging the Animoji, tap on it, and tap on the iOS share sheet to save it as a video.

A few people have gone a few steps further by stitching together multiple Animoji clips and editing in some other post-production effects.

Animoji might end up being a gimmicky feature that fades over the coming months, but for now, Apple is certainly benefitting from a wave of free viral marketing. If you see a singing fox in your timeline, now you know why.
