Wow thats cheap. Mine was $1799 after currency conversion. Whenever I see that unicorn saying "You're pretty!"… it was worth every penny. And that magical creature can't stop talking. What have we become? $1145 to play with animated emoji.![]()

There are many things that Apple have done to raise the standard of human creativity and interaction. This is not one of them.
MacPaint (1984), HyperCard, PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro...The Bohemian Rhapsody video is one of the most creative things I’ve seen someone do with an Apple device. In your eyes, what previous technologies/inventions inspired more creativity than this?
I agree. It is quiet cool and it is almost 2018. kudos to Apple to make such an amazing device that will shape the industry

Having fun would be discovering the great outdoors not this materistic s**t!
The year 2017, and this is what people use technology for, if anyone wonders.
Relax. This is a fun perk.

Relax.
Discovering the outdoors while going to the bathroom in every day life is difficult. Now you can have a bit of extra fun while doing 1&2.

Some clowns use Twitter from a position of power to ridicule, insult, and bring people down, and they seem to be having fun with it.
So... your point is?

Ironically, 3D delivers a level of superficiality that is unprecedented indeed.

3D modeling enabling tools have been around for a few decades.I don’t think you understand the comment I quoted, or my response.
First off, we’re talking about Apple inventions. Only two of the things you listed were initially developed by Apple.
Secondly, we’re talking about inventions that inspire people to exercise creativity. I dare say none of the software you mentioned - especially the latter - inspire anything; they merely facilitate it.
With Animoji, 1 day after the device is released, we have non-creatives making engaging & enjoyable content because the technology has inspired them, and it’s so easy to use they don’t need to spend months learning it unlike the tools you mentioned (again, the latter). That is incredible. Whether or not you personally find it “superficial” is literally of no consequence whatsoever.
Nope, I’m actually a fun person. I simply find it inexcusable with the issues in today’s world that the main attraction of an $1,145 phone is Animated Emoji. As a society we should be ashamed of these materialistic desires. These features do nothing but drive us deeper into our devices isolating us from reality.

I’ve been watching these things for hours. I know what I want for Christmas, but then I saw this,
