Only because it's true. Apple does things others have done before them, but in a much better fashion. Remember cell phones before the iPhone? By and large, they sucked. Same for tablets. Same for ipods. Same for buying music. Same for personal computing.

They didn't suck then, they only suck compared to what we have now.

Remember the Commodore 64? It sucked! The 2013 iMac is so much better.

Unlike HTC, Apple knows better than to keep the power button on the top of a larger phone.

I am amazed MacRumors still puts stock in case designs after being royally burnt before from it. Till I see the phone I don't believe it.

Who says they are putting any stock in it? They are just slinging it us, and apparently we are eating it up, as this story has 175+ comments now.

I have no problem with a price increase. Hey, they gotta eat. :apple:

What I'm not liking is the prospect of upgrading to a 4.7" in September, only to then see a 5.5" version a few months later, which is the one I really want. But then I don't want to wait possibly another 6-8-10 months for the 5.5" version and miss out on the already significantly larger screen all that time (4.7" vs. 4").

Are we looking at a repeat of the 3rd gen. iPad and then the 4th gen. came out only 7 mos. later?

My life is officially on hold until I can work this problem out by obsessively coming up with increasingly scarier scenarios that make me want to reach for my pipe.

I doubt that they will announce just the 4.7 only to announce a 5.5 later on. More likely, it will announce a 4.7 (presales that day, shipping in a week) and a 5.5 (presales that day, shipping in 8 weeks).

I'm surprised we are seeing so much iPhone leakage, yeah we already expecting for the iPhone 6 and 'double down' must be not in Cooks plan to protect iPhones identity until release. I wonder what he really got going on in the lab over there in Cupertino. I hope a watch. I hope a maybe different phone under a completely new design & feel. Or an iMacTV, I'd enjoy that most.:apple:

I disagree. Leaks are always blurry or have been shot with some sort of 'shaky cam'. These are in focus...I call shenanigans! :D

The evolution of the "leak photo"

Next, we'll see iPhone 7 parts with a "Noir" color scheme and some auto-enhancement. Maybe a little color to a specific part to add contrast. ;)

No iWatch leak yet :(

Not sure I understand moving the power button to the side. Is there a reason, or moving it just to move it?

My guess is because the phone is bigger. In theory it is easier to reach one handed with your thumb.

The phone will likely get taller. As a result, it actually gets harder to press the sleep button. It's more user friendly to have it on the sides, because that's more easily accessible for your finger or thumb.

Have you ever noticed that rotation lock / mute + volume buttons are on the right on an iPad, yet they are on the left on the iPhone? There's a reason for that.

Namely, first and foremost, most people are right-handed. In other words: most people will hold their phone with their right. On the iPhone, that means your hand will wrap around the phone from right to left: on the left side, your fingers from your right hand, can easily control the buttons.

Most right-handed people hold their phones in their left-hand so they can use their dominate hand on the screen.

Hate power button on the side. I always seem to accidentally press it when using a Samsung in stores. Never will I want Apple have it on the side.

Come back when you've actually owned a samsung phone. It's a matter of getting used to it. Nothing else. I was truly annoyed with the power button placement on my iPhone when gaming because I squeezed a little too hard sometimes making the phone to sleep. Later on I learned how to handle the phone. I got used to it on my Galaxy just like I did on the iPhone.

Exactly.

I own the LG G2 which has the power button on the back. However because LG has the "Knock Knock" feature to turn the screen on and off - I very rarely use the power button.

A bit off topic, but I have to say it: really hate cases with a opening specifically for the :apple: logo. Incredibly tacky, imo.

And it messes up putting my bus pass behind the phone... would be so much more convenient.

Large screen format . . . . "done right!"

And of course the sponges on various forums will soak that crap up.

All those people in the Amazon phone threads saying 3D is the worst thing ever? Just wait until Apple does anything remotely related to 3D.

Larger screen and moving the power button to the side - Seems to me Apple are copying Samsung. :D

Although meant in jest, you could imagine Apple fanatics saying this if it was the other way round!

I wouldn't be surprised if this was actually the iPod touch case. We haven't seen a redesign of the iPod touch, and it already has the same volume buttons.

Obviously fake. The pictures are actually in focus and clear and not taken by the very first cell phone camera. lol.

For all of you "double down on secrecy" critics, did you think that tightening security would reduce the rumors?

Just because someone made a case or faked a rendering doesn't mean that anything has actually leaked. You all act like everything that is posted as a rumor happened because of a leak.

It's just as likely that they are wild-ass guesses and some will be right and some will be wrong.

After the new phone is announced you may be able to say security wasn't tightened down, but until then all there is are rumors, so quit with the doubling down on security BS.

Since this product has zero to do with Apple, their manufacturers and their supply chains, I'd say that it's not THAT unbelievable that it is not a fake.

OMG, there was a leak! How did I miss that story? Could you fill me in? I tried looking at all the major sites and couldn't find a story about a leak.

Did someone leave a phone in a bar again? Or did some part manufacturers smuggle parts out and assemble a phone?

COME ON!! I need to know what happened.
