Would have been my first Mac ever, was more than ready to dish out the cash and pull out all the stops for a 5k MPB.

Been nearly a full year and apple can't deliver the goods... this whole new design will be what... Another two years? If it takes them this long to throw together a basic refresh then they clearly don't care much for (1) their customers which relates directly to (2) profit.

Glad to see that I am disenchanted for tomorrow, what can I say... they have dissapointed a fair portion of their audience with this rehash. Usually when people extend the wait past the normal ~8 months point something awesome happened...

To only keep the same aluminium unibody design, "yesterdays" gfx card and processor, not even having the ability to do blueray (which major video editors and even basic viewers find as a MUST)... uhmm... wow. This has got to be the single most negative speculation I've ever seen. I'm still baffled, I litterally had 5k and was ready to spend it tomorrow... baffled I am.

I may have 5k apple, but I didn't get making the big bucks through being taken advantage of... trick someone else into buying

"Yesterdays technology, for tomorrows price."

1. $5k MacBook Pro? Even the 17" with maxed out processor, display, SSD, and RAM is $4.5k...

2. Neither major video editors and "basic viewers" find blueray as a must. Why would video editors need blueray? Two of my friends are professional editors, and neither ever stores their work on blueray media. It's not like production houses burn discs one at a time out of some schmuck's laptop.

Time?

Anybody who's been around for previous releases of MBP care to speculate on what time they will release the new ones on apples website. Will we see them at midnight or 3 am like the Verizon Iphone... Not likely I assume. Or will it become available after a 10am or noon announcement time tomorrow?

I don't buy this at all. The iPad 2 (or 1.5 if you want to call it...) is not that much different than the iPad 1. How can there be supply constraints then? Sure the screen might be a little different or the battery, but can those changes equal supply problems!?

wow! does anyone actual read all the crap people post here?

i mean really! ive never read a better sampling of BS anywhere on the web, with exception of ilounge ofcourse.

its quite astonishing folks here take anything anyone says here seriously. come on, Apple is going to release not one but two ipads this year! just not going to happen! it would be retail suicide. clearly no one around here understands the first thing about product cycles, retail merchandising and for that matter Apples's history with launching products.

i think sometimes people just post things to provoke others to respond, which sadly appears to be just what i am doing. ugh! i gotta get outta here.

I'll just end this pointless response and let those that appear to know nothing continue their masturbation exercise!

Store goes down 8AM - 9AM EST and comes back up at 10AM - 12AM EST, from my experience

Last time the store went down when I was sleeping. Then came back online during 3rd period at my high school.

You people are pathetic. Sitting here complaining about the new macbook pro's when you have NO IDEA what is to come tommorow. and if the 13" has the specs that they are predicting then that would mean the 15 and 17 should be light years ahead of it. Look at the current line up, the 15 and 17 have a 4 year newer processor than the 13... apple never puts there best into the 13" mbp because they need to keep it affordable. think about it the 13" base is 1/2 the price of the 15" base... I dunno about you but if I were to look in the windows laptop world and compare a 1000 dollar laptop to a 2000 dollar one I would deffinitely expect the 2 grand one to be a whole hell of alot better than the cheaper one. I mean LIGHTYEARS better... so lets wait and see... I wouldn't be surprised to see the 15 and 17 be totally killer specs and maybe even a redesign... which you guys are un-needingly putting on a pedestal by the way. who gives a **** if its black, silver or blue... I for one dont care what it looks like as long as it kicks ass inside... if you want a cool new colored laptop engadget just reported on a new sony Vaio that is coming out soon, the two color choices are neon green and orange... go get that.

a lot of people are spoiled by the macbook air's body. even if tomorrow's MBP doesn't include a redesign macbook-air like chassis, it's still pretty than most of windows notebook, even sony's notebooks.

if apple is releasing a macbook-air like MBPs tomorrow, i think it's going to cannibalize the macbook air sales. so next year is a good time to release the new redesign MBPs.

i just wish i can kick the god damn optical drive and have a thinner air like design, but a man can only wish.

and about the iPad 2 mock up above, damnnnn, that's what i call a big iPod touch!

So your saying we need to wait 10 more hours then log back on and complain?

Looks like it might be a better decision to stick with my Late 2008 Uni-body MBP and hold out till 2012. From the looks of things, my MBP is about just as fast and almost just as good as the ones coming out tomorrow.

..Time will tell though.
The rumored 2.3GHz Core i5 would be a huge improvement over the Core 2 Duo. The Intel integrated graphics are only so-so, about on a par with the NVIDIA 320M in the current offering, but the CPU will just literally destroy the Core 2 Duo.

Because now they must produce two different things (batteries, chassis, screen bezels, etc) at the same time. One for the incredibly well selling intro version and a second set of the same items, but slightly different, for the upcoming version. That gives you supply problems. It isn't like they can stop making the first iPad and only make #2.

I would be very very happy, if there is another configuration of the 13inch with discrete graphics

Am I the only one thinking this?

im thinking that the whole story about the macbooks in 2012 is a marketing scheme to make you feel like the update is far away so you buy this upcoming update (ALLITERATION!), but in reality the major update is going to come this fall

Apple is showing the beginning signs of a company that has lost its way. In many ways they remind me of Microsoft in the late 90's to early 00's.

Just curious why you feel that way. They're introducing new products (iPad), which are selling extremely well, they've got the number one selling phone in the world, the Mac is rising in market share in both the consumer and enterprise space and they're setting records left and right.

Will there be a video with these new MacBook pros? Or will it be completely silent? I am hoping for a video, they are always so inspiring

LOL so lost that everybody including google and Microsoft are trying to clone the iPhone and iPad.

I wish all companies on earth can be this lost.

LOL they can't "remind" you of something you weren't alive yet to experience.

I agree with this. My hunch says the iPad released next month will be an "enhanced iPad 1" with a faster A4 processor, double the RAM, possibly better graphics and FaceTime camera. Actually, I know nothing and am as clueless as everyone else

Then in the Fall, we'll see the "real" iPad 2 with the dual-core cpu, dual-core gpu, double resolution retina display. Manufacturing a retina display of this caliber is very difficult & my guess is that Apple is having difficulty producing enough "retina" iPads in sufficient quantity right now.

And you base this on what? Did you look at how your turds were aligned after your morning dump? You and all the other "experts" don't have a ***** clue.
