I don't have any problem with my 5S size. But because I'm due upgrade, I upgraded to 6S and after few months the size is perfect for me. I think 4.7" is a sweet spot and I don't intend to go bigger unless Apple can fit bigger display into current dimension.

I like a 4 inch screen best. I went from a 4.8" S3 to a 5S and find it much more usable one-handed.

Big hands here. 4.7 is a bit small for me - going back for 4 is a bit unthinkable. I think some people might love it though.

No I wouldn't. I really don't think apple would give all the hardware and software features the 6s has to this new phone. Seeing as all the rumors point to this new phone being a budget phone wouldn't make any sense to give it all the same specs. I want the best specs I can get not a down grade. As much as I love the 4" I also like having the latest and greatest. But on the other hand people on older iPhone looking for something cheap and don't care how long their phone last them or if it's for a kid I can see this selling (like the 5c)

Are smaller screen more likely to survive an accidental drop? Having 4.7/5.5 still feels slightly large to me.

not sure if you've been reading lately but the rumors are definitely not "budget" all the internals of the 6s minus 3d touch is the word on the street. Please don't compare this to the 5c if this is the case as it is not the same kind of phone.

With 2GB RAM and 3D touch - it would be a fully fledged device. I guess Apple didn't want to try that the first time around; maybe this time next year - we'll get it.

We are still hopeful of 2gb of ram. 3d touch seems dead. But if this I the case, I'd still consider that flagship. Actually wondering if a phone this small would not accommodate the internals for 3d touch. Admittedly, I know nothing about this though

That sounds reasonable - I think - to be honest if they went for 2GB - might as well got the 3D; however, in practice 3D probably requires more re-engineer the body / add thickness (6->6S weight and thickness bump) - which might be why 2GB and A9 is the best we could see.

Even with 1gb of ram it would still be very fast, as someone else pointed out above, it is running on a smaller screen, making that power go a bit farther than on the 6s.

The more I think about it, I think it will indeed be 1gb to keep price down. I really was/am looking forward to the se but I would have loved 2gb. I guess I'll have to get over the specs and wait for real reviews. It's real world use that matters I suppose

With Apple products, yes it is all about real world use. My iPhone 6 which was released in 2014 still feels extremely smooth and fast.

I really miss the ability to send messages with one hand and using just about everything on my phone with one hand. However I'm not ready to give up the usability of a bigger display. I watch the walking dead and play games on my 6S+ and I enjoy it really much. It wouldn't be as pleasant on a 4 inch phone.

I have gotten so used to the 4.7" of my 6s, that I don't think I could move down to a 4" phone. I absolutely loved my 5s and I didn't think I would go with the 6 when it was introduced. But once I played around with it and my hands got used to the bigger size, I actually prefer it.

No interest in a 4" screen, way too small. Would love it Apple came out with 5" iPhone with slimmed down bezels.....or if they somehow slimmed down the iPhone Plus.

I feel the same way...the SE is appealing but I love my 6 too much. I'll wait for the 7.

I've had both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6s, and I'm definitely in for the iPhone 7.

That said, the iPhone 6/6s is still a bit too big for my taste. I'm used to it by now, but I'd love a new iPhone that's a good bit shorter, lighter, and thinner.

If the iPhone SE had the exact same specs as the iPhone 6s (which it won't) and was the size of the 5/5s, I would absolutely sell my 6s and get the SE.

I was really hoping that the iPhone 7 would get a big redesign and make the entire phone shorter/lighter/thinner, but it looks like it'll be staying the same same length. It'll certainly be thinner, not sure about the weight.

I've had everything from the 4S to the 6S+ and everything in between. I'm on a Note 5 now, just b/c I get bored easily. But the 5/5S form factor always did it for me. I will be getting the 5SE if it comes with the A9. I don't really care about 3D touch and I don't see it needing more than 1GB of ram, but 2GB would be a welcoming surprise. Maybe make it as thick as the 5's to add some extra battery....I want a 2 day iPhone conservatively and a 1 day iPhone with heavy usage/shoddy signal.

6S Plus user here, had the 6 before and the 5S before that etc.. Really tired of the huge size and VERY tempted by the SE as the 5S was easily my favourite iPhone. It all comes down to specs and price....

never, i still got an old iPhone 5 and when i try to type on it now i keep hitting the wrong buttons cuz the keyboard is so tiny! and so much zooming, cant even imagine how it ever seemed big lol i also get cramps in my hand from holding it but to each their own of course. good to have options

4.7 is perfect for me. i would actually consider the Plus but the bezel is redic and doesnt justify the size

I have a 6s and will be making the switch. If for some crazy reason the phone in not release, I will be going back to a 5s. I miss the size of a "phone"

For me, the 4.7" size is perfect. Composing emails and documents on the go have become easier for my eyes now. I might consider the 5.5" this September if (and only if) the rest of the phone - besides the screen size - is smaller.

I'm in the same boat OP.

I have the 6 and really like it but every time I use my wife's 5 (even in a Defender case) I really miss the smaller form factor. I have big hands and have no issues using the 6 one-handed but the 4-inch size is infinitely more usable for me, especially on the go. But it will all depend on what Apple does. If it's handicapped by design (protruding camera) or innards (older processors etc...) then I won't consider it.

Yeah it's kinda like both sizes are nice for different reasons...if the SE has almost the same stuff as the 6s, it should be great and would be quite tempting since there would be no big trade off for going small.
