I've just upgraded 10.8.5 to 10.9 GM on my 2011 iMac with very few problems. A couple of apps (Little Snitch and TotalSpaces) that it's marked as incompatible, but all the main stuff I use looks fine. Have uninstalled TotalFinder for the time being, but think I prefer the way it deals with multiple tabs to Mavericks.

Will have more of a play tomorrow (I did install the DPs in a VM but never really got around to testing) but 1st impressions are much of the same, so not a bad thing. Will miss spaces functionality though (why did they kill that in Lion?) so hope they fix that quickly.

I must be getting old when a update that doesn't change much is good :D although lots of people still love Snow Leopard and much of that was under the hood.

It said little snitch was incompatible, but a reinstall of the same nightlies version I already had loaded fine on reboot. It also said Adobe CC was incompatible but PS CC etc seem to work fine.

Logic X has to re-scan all the plugins.. a couple odd old ones crashed logic out on au validation.

Divvy seems to need some new accessibility auth which I can't figure out.

How about FCP X? And Path Finder?

Pathfinder didn't work for me, was flagged as incompatible software. I mean now that there is tabbed Finder, I would likely use Pathfinder a lot less but still like the dual pane view. Not to angry thought, I'm sure Pathfinder will be eventually upgraded for Mavericks.

Just a heads up, stay away from Caffeine as it does not work properly on Mavs. Interferes with the screen drivers, sometimes unexpectedly turning it off or preventing it from turning on during boot up/sleep wake.

Pathfinder 6 works just fine and isn't flagged as incompatible.

Clusters on the other hand, works but manages to hose the entire system. :D It corrupts .plist files inside applications, which will invalidate them cause them to no longer start, and it manages to corrupt Mail such that it gets a severe case of amnesia when it comes to email accounts you add (or had prior to upgrade). Developer is notified.

Interesting...mine got flagged as incompatible. I guess I'll download it again and see what's up. Thanks for the verification.

This is a major turn off. I hope the developer updates it on time for public release.

I emailed the developers asking about Mavericks support. I'll paste the reply here once I get it.

so yoy say you reinstalled adobe cc and worked ?
All apps ?

No, it just worked.

By the way, I don't care for the new color tags. Is there some way to color highlight the whole finder line like before? The old way still works in Pathfinder and Forklift in nay case although I assume they may update that to the new way future releases. The colored bar across the folder line in a finder window is much easier to see in a long list.

Grab the beta 1.4.29 of TotalFinder. It is working correctly for me on the GM. Just set TF to include pre-releases and it will update to this version.

A.

For any Pilots out there, my installation of LogTen Pro does not seem to be working on my iMac. When I launch the app its stuck with an endless spinning circle.

so

LogTen Pro 6.0.13 - Broken

Thanks all, Path Finder did work, but owing to no support for Tags, etc, it is not very useful. It honestly looks archaic in comparison to the new Finder.

So far, apart from ARD, all seems to work fine. Even the Logitech Control Center which didn't work out of the box, but it did once I used the PKG file inside the App Package.
