BetterZip 2 has some issues in Mavericks. Zip compression works just fine, but trying to create a GZipped TAR archive fails - the "Compressing" dialog never displays, and BetterZip writes 20 bytes of archive then stops.

VLC mostly works fine, but if you use the "use native fullscreen" option its quite buggy. When you quit VLC (even if it wasn't in fullscreen) you get the animation to an empty fullscreen "desktop" and then back to the normal desktop, and then the dock is stuck in auto-hide until you log out/back in lol. the non-native fullscreen seems to work OK though.

Handbrake

While Handbrake seems to be working fine under 10.9 GM, it did something rather odd last night. I started an encoding job in the morning that was to take about 18 hours to complete and when I got home and logged into my account, the Handbrake window was on the top left on the desktop, with its top and left portions off the screen. Whenever I tried to move it back to near the center it would then fly back to the top left position as soon as I let the pointer go.

I was able to minimize it fine and it did complete the job but I could not move its active window away from that position.

Restarted the machine this morning and it seems fine now. But that was the first odd behavior I've noticed in Handbrake under 10.9.

Any apps broken yet?

And in GM? :((

Warcraft III LAN play is still broken in GM. I am upgrading another MacBook Air that has Warcraft III installed and functioning fine in Mountain Lion just to make sure that it isn't some misconfiguration in my rMBP.

EDIT: It is confirmed. Warcraft III LAN play is broken on Mavericks. It wasn't a misconfiguration on my rMBP.

Has anyone tried out "Things 2" for Mac on Mavericks? I would like to know if it is working.

iVI (Standard and Pro) work fine under Mavericks, there is an update available (already!) with official 10.9 compatibility.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and Adobe Premiere Elements 11 both working fine for me under OS X 10.9 too.

iA Writer is working OK too.

Is there a master list somewhere of apps that are currently broken in Mavericks? That would be handy.

If you have information to share, put it on the RoaringApps site. That's the closest thing to a central resource I know of.

Link? I don't have anything that hasn't already been posted in this thread, but I'm curious to see what other information is out there.

Unless I just can't figure out how to enable it, I'm finding full screen mode in ard 3.7 kind of useless without the floating toolbar... The only way to get out of full screen is to get the dock to pop up and click close on the icon.

Acrobat XI Pro

Has anyone had any trouble installing Acrobat XI Pro?

Just did a clean install of Mavericks GM this weekend and had no difficulties with other CC apps other than Acrobat.

Very frustrating. Trying to figure out if it has a Mavericks compatibility issue or it's just my computer.

I installed the GM on my old iMac and I'm having trouble with Xtra Finder. I can't drag files.. if I reboot, I am able to drag one but then it never moves to where I want. Once I do that once, I can never drag files again until I reboot. Anyone with the same issue?

EDIT:

Well, after a little more testing I realised that, it only happens after I try dragging and dropping a file into a Tab (Xtrafinder Tab btw). If I drag files normally (without the use of tabs), I can do it as much as I want. As soon as I try dropping a file in a tab, dragging stops working altogether.

I searched and didn't seem to find this posted anywhere. But Jitouch is broken in some places.

It works for the most part, but you can't add any new trackpad gestures or the application crashes.

I haven't had chance to play with it much but Final Cut Pro 6 installs and works fine. :)

Going to test at some point:

MPEG Streamclip
FCP7 + rest of Final Cut Studio 3
FileZilla
Quicktime 7
XDCAM Transfer

Any updates to these apps working with Mavericks?
Thanks!
