Yeah I can get apple watch series one today. seems my manager had no clue what he was talking about... I just don't get it. If you are a manager and you have a big product launching you should know exactly what you have.
I suppose he simply thought the newly released ones were all the new "series." I agree with you 100 percent.
However, I guess if you're not an Apple person and you have so many other technology products, you can't know everything.
Update: just unbelievable. I went from being prepared to ship to this email at 4:30 am :

I got the same email. It told me I had options...but the options isn't listed on my order page at all.
Same here. I clicked on that but it just takes me to my order details page. I just went ahead and made a new order for in store pick up. And if they cant cancel my online order , then whenever I receive it , i will just return it. Just sucks that my money gets stuck for weeks. Never , ever, again doing best buy pre order.
So series 2 gets delayed 2 weeks and they get $50. Iphone 7 gets delayed they get $100. Series 1 got delayed ... And we just get our extra shipping money back? Lmao
I was wondering the same thing. In fact, I have a silver aluminum series 1 preparing for shipment with Apple, a stainless steel series 2 white band processing, and a Nike + processing...
I ended up buying the series 1 silver aluminum at 6am to pick up in about an hour at best buy... I'll probably end up selling the others or returning them when they come in.
Did your store give any indication of what models will be available? Such as the SS models?
Bestbuy charged my credit card just prior to sending the delayed until October message (series 1)! Asses.
They knew exactly what they were doing. Giving a false ship date they knew they couldn't possibly meet in order to capture more sales.
A month delay announced on ship day?
They KNOW if it were to arrive today, it would have to have shipped in the last two days and they send us an email this morning?
This isn't an accident. This is pre-order policy.
Even if 50-75% of the people cancel, that's still thousands of orders they captured and would not have gotten if they were honest.
Given the prices of the series 1 and adding in the "delayed" series 2, equals millions in sales they would have had to give up.
Too much money. Especially if you're the person counting on this quarter's sales numbers.
So lie, figure wouldn't lose too many customers long run and roll the dice. Unreal.

And as bad as it makes Best Buy and Target look IMO it makes Apple look great. OMG, look at the demand, people are going crazy because they can't get their new Apple Watches fast enough! Revolutionary device! Sold out everywhere!

Just picked up my Series 1 from best buy. Its funny how clueless the people who work there are. The lady was like i thoght these were deayed. I said i dont care what they told you , my **** should be sitting in the back. And it was lol.
