Interesting that I'm seeing this message on my preorder Apple Watch for 2 days now w/ Bestbuy... Whats going on?
Good luck to you all. If you live in Memphis the store by wolf chase has them in stock. Picked up two 42mm aluminum space grey with sports band (wanted woven band but I've given up waiting for Best Buy to ship). According to the store they got a decent shipment in on the 16th and have had the watches ever since.
Looks like Best Buy completely dropped the ball on this. EVERY other store is shipping out Apple watches and Best Buy either doesn't care or is on apples bad side cause by the looks of it it will. E a miracle if they ship watches on by the 28th.

I agree... there customer service is horrible. I'm not sure if the $50 gift certificate was worth it, not to mention the hassle i went through to place the order with a office chair then wanted to price match with amazon. if they continue this, they'll lose all their loyal customers.
Could someone shed some light on where they are tracking inventory? I'm not seeing this on the app or website.
After switching things, and going through Korea, mine (Space Black 42mm) will arrive later today!

Go to Best Buy site and do a search for Apple Watch and choose the tab pick up today and choose stores in your area and it will show which watches at that store you can pick up. I see mostly series 1 but there are some series 2 in stores about 40 minutes away.
Only Series 1. Most stores in my area had black Series 1 in stock early yesterday....late last night almost all stores had most Series 1's in stock.
In their iPhone app, search for "Apple Watch Series 2" and then on the search results page, right above the first result, there's a toggle between "All Products" and your closest store (or you can tap the pencil and then choose another store). Once you toggle to showing local store availability, it will show either "Pre-order" or "Pick up Today" next to the watch. If it says "Pick up today", there is almost certainly stock of that particular model at that store. You can't order it for in-store pickup from the app, though. It's first come, first serve in the store.
If you get to the store and the employee tells you they don't have any in stock, ask that they verify that with the computer. When I went to my local Best Buy yesterday, the guy first said they didn't have any Series 2s in stock and wouldn't for several days. I asked him to double check the computer and the computer showed they had the Series 2 I wanted in stock after all (which is what the app indicated). So far, the consensus in this thread has been that if the app shows "Pick up Today" next to the model you want, it is definitely in stock at that store.
Someone in San Diego reported (and showed screen shot) of Series 2 watches available at Best Buy. I picked up a Series 2 at an Apple store today after reserving it yesterday.
Probably the last time I ever pre-order from best. Their customer service sucks when dealing with this madness and unhelpful - some even shoot out lies :|.

They played with words in their email "on or around the 28th"
While I am looking through other forums of people buying from apple and getting 3-5 week estimate shipping dates, then they say a few days later they get an email saying their watch will be delivered in a week.
One guy said he bought on the 18th and he is going to receive it tomorrow on the 22nd. (series 2)

They still hadn't updated mine earlier. I saw where a Best Buy an hour away had the same watch that I had preordered (42mm SS). I called to verify that they had one and they did. They wouldn't hold it for me so we jumped in the car and headed down to get it. They still had one when we got there so I purchased it and used the $50 gc from the email. Once we were out of there I canceled the preorder. They should not be shipping models to their stores when they still haven't filled all of the preorders that they've taken.

Today I walked in a store and ordered a 42 grey with woven band and got the shipping notification a few hrs later and will have it on Friday. Best Buy is awesome what a fast turn around time. Can't be any happier!
