Guy with a Gold XS max here.. Really pleased with it, I have it in the midnight Blue leather case, which looks fantastic. Every time I take it out of the case, I keep wanting to use it without it on though! Such a good looking phone.
Yeah I love gold. I was disappointed when my iPhone 8 Plus arrived and it was a rose gold color. The new Gold excess max looks amazing.

I don't give a rats ass what people think. I actually had a pink otter box on my rose gold 8 plus because it was a significant discount. People were definitely having fun busting my balls on my "Girly" phone but I don't care, I feel comfortable with my masculinity and have no issues with carrying around a pink phone.

I got mines with the Apple product RED "Corinthian leather". love the way it feels and looks, and flipping to unlock etc.. definately a luxury feel to the whole thing. Like I say, Apple is the "Rolex" of smartphones.

I was using an ESR case with tempered glass back to let the colour shine properly. Attached a pic. It's completely clear, doesn't obscure the colour or iridescent finish and has the glass feel to it still.

Space Grey colour this year is very nice, compared both colours at apple store and happily wet for Space Grey. Couldn’t hold the Gold colour too much feminine for my taste.

I'm getting the XS Max in gold. I have a 5S gold and I never really got to enjoy the color because I had it in an Apple leather case. I almost forgot I had a gold 5S. I realized it after I took off the case to clean it up.
When I pre-ordered, I opted for the Gold color because I wanted something different for once. Today I got the phone and I was a bit disappointed because it looks copperish/pinkish/beige. I also find it kinda feminine. I can't choose a different color without paying a re-stocking fee.
You made your choice. If you want a different color then hey pay the restocking fee.

Same same. Always had space gray with black front surround. I had the silver X and dropped it, now I have the gold Xs.
IMO, rose gold was a feminine color.
I think the Rose Gold iPhone 7S Plus and Rose Gold Apple Watch Series 2 Aluminum that I had was the best color combination I have ever had. It actually had more of a copper color to it in my eyes. I don’t care for the Space Gray color, kinda boring if you ask me. I was bummed when they got rid of the Rose Gold color option. This year’s Gold color on the iPhone XS Max that I have is at least somewhat different than the past ones. I personally like it and got a clear case so I can still see the color through it.
Rose gold was for very confident people of either sex.
