The gold didn’t impress me online, but once I saw it in person I had to have it. It’s a beautiful color.
My concern wasn't whether the gold is girly, it's whether it looked teen girl-ish.
Basically, does it look like a cheap, gaudy, sparkly piece of tech targeted to 15 year olds. It doesn't, it looks good and would be fine in a professional environment.
I was set on getting the gold until I went to the Apple Store today. Not sure if it was simply the over lighting in the store but came away disappointed. Back looked more rose gold/pink and the band looked odd. I wonder if I’d like it more in real world lighting conditions.
It varies a lot. The back can look anything from a gold brick to a reddish white and the same goes for the band. Quite unique but I like it.
Masculinity is not a men's property. Women can be masculine too.For real all these dudes thinking a gold phone challenges their masculinity. Just cringeworthy.
Any guys getting the Gold iPhone Xs Max? I currently have the iPhone X in Silver, I think the gold looks cool, but at the same time I feel like it’s more like a girl color phone? Of course nothing wrong with that, I just wish I could see it in person so I can make up my mind! I also like the SG, but I’ve heard of the stainless steel coating peeling off.

Question for you: how different does it look in the real world (indoors and outside) compared to the salmon pink color inside the Apple Store?
Who cares. Enjoy the color you like.Masculinity is not a men's property. Women can be masculine too.
