Good looking family picture there. I finally managed to see the pics of other members children and I would like to commend all who posted them ... you folks really do have wonderfully photogenic kids. Thanks for sharing.

Wild. My son's birthday was yesterday as well, although he's two. Cute picture!

I think most kids like to be the center of attention, especially the center of thier parents attention. they do light up when a camera is around.

RE: gender? One of each is awesome, can't imagine any other way. But if we had two of the same I'm sure I would say the same thing. I think the moms need a girl and the guys need a boy. That said, my daughter and I are very close. And my son is getting old enough to play games outside and stuff. total fun!!!
I have two girls and I can't imagine it any other way. We were both pleased when the ultrasound scan of the youngest (now 11 months old) showed us she was a girl.

Looking at how just about every little boy in the oldest's (3 yrs old) preschool gets on, I'm relieved they are both girls. They couldn't possibly have sweeter dispositions. Although big sister did have a meltdown this morning when I refused to let her have a treat from her Halloween pumpkin. But she has maybe one tantrum a month, and it never lasts long.

Edit: and we're both done - no more kids.

Thanks.

There's bound to be one cute picture out of the 700+ that are posted on her picture website. It's really hard to believe that a whole year has gone by, but of course I can't remember what life was like without her either.

My eldest at about two and a half years old playing her first game of hide and seek, she was hiding!

FUNNY! Its interesting to note that children of that age believe that if they cant see you, you cant see them. even if thier eyes are closed and standing right in front of you.

I recently became a father for the first time.
Our little Thea is now 6 weeks old (and finaly asleep, oops think I heard something)
It´s as great as everyone tells you it is, and then some

Just the other day, I walk in my office and there he is, on the desk, trying to use the computer. He loves watching his videos and video chatting with his Grandma in Florida :D

I have a childgate in front of the door to my office and he managed to crawl under it

It wouldn't have been that bad except he was trying to use the non-functional *touch* screen option on my monitor....

Ive known parents to "grease" thier childgates to keep the crafty little buggers from scaling those things. They do become quite resourcefull as they age:p

ah, well the gate also works for the dog....greasing the thing would end up greasing the dog as well - I don't think that would work too well. :D

Unfortunately, as a Gay couple my friend and I are not permitted to have children.

As a gay couple how would you go about getting a child?
Surrogate? (is it surrogacy to father a child with a woman who’s in the knowledge that you’re gay and just want the child, or there another term?) Adoption?
I can see how adoption could be legislated against (although I don't agree that there's a need) but how can they legislate against you looking after a child that one of you had fathered?

I'm afraid this will start veering off topic...but my 2 pence: surrogacy is just carrying the child with the intention before the pregnancy to give it up. The law shouldn't be able to legislate against a man who is a guardian of a child that he has fathered. The problem comes in when the man attempts to get his partner onto the record as a second guardian. And it's an entirely ballpark when adoption of non-blood children comes into play...

Keeping this on topic, though...I do not have any children...instead, I have my bird, which I love dearly :) But I've enjoyed everyone's photos of their kids...they are all gorgeous :D

Please dont give in to GreyBeards evil plot (as I did) and ruin this pleasant thread. Hes going around to all the threads and making "gay" references in protest of the gayway thread being pulled.

GreyBeard, im really sorry your thread was pulled, honestly, but please dont go around ruining it for the rest of us.:(

Please play nice.
