Ok, so I've got he Godosmith Ice Max 3D installed on my iPhone 6 (NOT 6(S)). and I have to say that I thought I did a great job in regards to alignment and dust. I am, however, less than satisfied with the result:

I understand that small bubbles will disappate, but these looks like an adhesive issue to me. *SIGH*

Here's the video:

[UPDATED: 1 hour after install and doing my best to rub/massage the protector to encourage adhesion, there is ZERO difference.]

Just as an update for anyone who cares, Godosmith got back with me and said they would send me a replacement. I have the tracking, etc. already. I'll update again when I get the replacement product (in approximately 3 weeks, most likely).

I will be really curious to know if the replacement product is better from jumpstreet, you know? Did customer service seem surprised that this happened?

If I email them, they typically replied 24hrs later. First, their English is OK, but not great, and I sometimes wondered if they understood what I was saying. When I told them what happened and sent pics, they told me to reapply. When I did and sent new pics, they told me NOT to use with a case. :-/ Anyway, I hope the new one works out. I wouldn't say their customer service has been "great," but at least they're responsive.

Not to use a case until the adhesive settles, or not to use a case at all? My experience with Cinder is that the protector worked fine UNTIL I put a case on the phone. Then lifting started. (Apple silicon case). I just received my G.D..Smith protector. Will apply it on the weekend.

Ok thought I would share my experience.

Received it in the mail today, surprised it came within 2 weeks to Australia.

Installed it right away without the shower steam as I just couldn't wait!

Firstly the packaging is just delightful, well thought out and just neatly put together.

Cleaning tools were great- went to town on the screen until I was happy it was smooth as a baby's bottom.

Now the scary part...turned out to be not scary at all. Install was super easy, lined up the home button and dropped the top half hoping everything was straight. Adhesive was great and bubbles were easily pushed out! Perfect! Literally felt like there was no screen protector at all.

Put it in my saddle brown 6s case and what do you know? No lifting!

Seriously the best SP I have ever bought and well worth the 36 AUD I paid.

Good luck with your installs if you end up buying this product- highly recommended.

P.s my biggest gripe with most of the SP I have purchased has been the oleo phobic coating which usually doesn't last for more than 3-4 weeks- so far this thing is smooth!!!!!! Will report back in a few weeks if I feel the coating is wearing off.

Has anyone paired the Ice Max with a Caudabe Veil XT? I'm on the fence with this case from Amazon (which is exactly like the Veil XT) because it looks like the curved edge is covered. To me this would cause issues with the Ice Max.

I ordered that case, It made my ice max, pop up some in a corner, Im sure I could have been more careful installing it and it wouldnt have been an issue, but I love the leather cases, so I just got the bubble out and I put the leather case back on. Im saving those cases for my wife when she gets her 6s.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. You really think it was an issue of installing it more carefully? Based on those pictures on Amazon, it looks like the case comes up over the rounded edge, not right up to it like the Shumuri.

worst case, you return it, best case it works.

I honestly think with a little love the case would fit on it. the reason i think it would, is cause only one side lifted upand it was a small part of it.

2 weeks is fast from China to Australia! Meanwhile mine is still stuck in some unknown Chinese city...

Glad to hear the installation was hassle free. Can't wait to get mine and pair it with the saddle brown case!

Does it attract any finger prints at all?

Just received my screen protector today and have a 99.9% perfect install. There is one tiny piece of dust on the very edge by where the time is. There's no sense in trying again since it's stuck to the adhesive.

It took about 4 tries but I finally got everything aligned and there are no bubbles. I'll admit I was a little impatient with getting this on and did it right after work.

For those of you questioning the fit with the Veil XT, I'm using the case now and have no bubbling issues. I guess it does depend on how well you have it lined up.

so who has it installed for a long time?
let's say, more than a month?

what's the verdict?
still great?
no downgrade?
glass still holds all it's high end ingredients?

thanks.

If you have read this thread, you know that long-term (1-month) results aren't available yet because I was the first one to post and that was only 2 weeks ago?

Also, mine had held its ingredients; it hasn't dropped any of them.

I have a prototype from before they started their campaign. It still holds up very well. I suppose it varies between users but my glass is still smooth but definitely not as smooth as a day 1 cinder. I've dropped it a couple times and while an edge has chipped slightly, it did not shatter and still holds up. It still is the very best screen protector I've used.

That being said, I am still waiting for the ones I backed and their customer service leaves much to be desired.

I believe his question is regarding Godosmith's product, not Cupert's Cinder.

installed mine 3 days ago... had to re-adjust it 3-4 times before it was a good fit. Even so, the best alignment i ever had still gave me some tiny air bubble which cant be pushed out... sigh.

Finally installed my Ice Max today. Happy to report no bubbles, but took a while to get them out.

Just installed mine and it's perfect. I've never been this happy with a screen protector!!!! This is the real deal, guys. Totally worth it.
