How was the installation?

ok i did try to install with great care.
phone is totally clean and no dust.
aligned perfectly.

TERRIBLE RESULT!!

tried re applying 3-4 times, cleaning again, etc.

15% of the screen has big bubbles that refuse to move or disappear.
wondering whether i should wait a little for something to happen.
trying to wipe out what i can but seems to do nothing.

what is this shyte product???
30$ down the drain?
now i'm supposed to start explaining the Ebay GodoSmith guys it doesn't work?

I'm beginning to think the product isn't all it's hyped up to be. I'm on my second one. Instead of giving me a replacement they gave me 50% off a second one.

Exactly why so many users are having such different results remains a mystery.

what do you think i should do?
is it worth to re-apply AGAIN?
i facking worked like a lab scientist to make it perfect.

Have you tried to push out the bubbles? The bubbles on this thing take some work to get rid of. It took me a little while to push out the bubbles, a lot longer than any other S/P I've ever had. Even after that, a small spot on the left edge still wouldn't stick.

There was one user around these forums that, after two days, was finally able to work out all the air bubbles.

Yea I reckon I can make this s better, but Im mainly concerned about the middle bubbles.. Am I also supposed to push these out?

Yes. I had middle bubbles too. Try applying pressure on them and push them out. They're a total PITA to remove, and take a little more elbow grease then the average S/P.

ok, seems i manage to move most of them out!
pheeww i'm relieved for now.
thanks for the tips.
i guess we'll need to wait for a perfect unbreakable and unscratchable glass
otherwise this idiotic waste of time will continue.

Will post a nice picture soon.
So from my experience today, IF and that's a big IF, this stays the same,
I can presume many people (also me) might give up and claim the SP is not good, but if every bubble can theoretically be wiped, then maybe people do not realize that, or Godosmith should specifically write that wiping the bubbles should take up to a couple of hours.

Did you install this on a 6s? Were you able to get rid of the narrow bubbles on the sides of the screen, the location where everyone seems to be having problems. I just put one on my 6s and everything looks great except that.

Thanks,
John

no it's the 6s plus.

SP 2.jpg

well crappy picture but it's totally un-bubbled for now.
as you could have seen in my posts above, it was horrendous at first,
bubbles in the middle and on all edges.
once you KNOW every bubble CAN be wiped, it's just a matter of patience
and finding the right motions.

I was able to get rid of all bubbles, including the narrow ones on the sides of the screen. Well those didn't really go away. The Apple Leather case kind of curls around onto the side of the S/P which holds the sides down. It was the bottom left corner where a small strip of air remained. I posted a picture the other day of the final results.

Thanks guys. I have the Apple silicon case and I think it's not going to work for me. I just wish someone (a screen protector manufacturer) would acknowledge the problem and make a solution. This is the 4th one of various brands that I bought with no luck.

Got mine from aliexpress for my 6s+. Postage took three weeks.

Installation took me 20mins as I had to reapply a few times to get rid of any dust underneath. Once installed, a long streak of bubble along the bottom above the Touch ID and a few small ones scattered around.

I wiped and pushed all of it out in an hour.

Will post pics when I get home

I've had bad luck too with S/P and their respective vendors. They refuse to admit their current line of screen protectors are simply not compatible with the current 6S.

When one vendor even went to say the halo effect was perfectly normal....I had to stop and wonder about life for a second..

It's been over a month now and mine is still not here yet. Seller at Aliexpress said to ask my local post office. USPS can't pull up the tracking info at all. Seller just stopped responding. Sigh...

How do you get rid of the dust? Can you use the scotch tape method like you'd do with the non-glass screen protectors? I'm always struggling to get a dust free environment despite using the steamy shower method.

I used the square piece of sticky film that came with the package.

I applied it on the phone itself, then applied it on the protector as well. Did it a few times before I was happy with it.

I think as long as it's aligned properly and there is no dust, the bubbles can be wiped or pushed out (hopefully)

yes this is correct. "hopefully" depends on how much patience there is ;)
i wrote Godosmith and urged them to let people know the bubble work could take up to a couple of hours.
they replied : "yes, we will!" - yea right.
anyway, mine is perfect (6s+).
but as i was told here maybe the 6s SP gives more trouble.

hmmm this sounds like it might bother me.
does it bother you?
It bothers me because I know its not sticking down properly. I find myself pressing down around the home button and earpiece areas just hoping there is no clicking. The clicking is still there after a week. I complained to GoDoSmith. But I don't know if I will request a replacement.

yea i now notice what you mean..
not getting the reason WHY there's no adhesive down there.
totally weird.
BUT - if it's only a feel issue, it's doesn't bother me that much.
you have to push it firmly to notice it.
it DOES bother me when it costs 30$ bucks though.

this product should be worth around 15-20$ tops (with the 2 hour bubble "wipe out" + these clicky areas)

I finally got mine to adhere completely with a bit of trickery. I put rubber bands around the phone and let it sit all night. That created a small bubble on the inside that was worked out eventually. Now it looks great but I am afraid to take my case of haha.

The bigger picture is though, it should not take rubber bands to make a screen protector fit properly. As soon as somebody makes the correct screen protector for an iPhone 6s available I'm ripping this one off and buying it.

Received mine today and had it fitted within 10 minutes, it did take a couple of attempts to get it perfect without any dust/bubbles underneath but in the end it was pretty straight forward.

Question: does anyone know what the little chrome ring with adhesive on one side is for?
