I agree X will be newest in the iPhone line when it launches. But comparing who’s newer for iPhones is really meaningless, because there’s a new model every year.
In years past, I'd agree. But this year, there were two (three if you count 8/8+) "new models" introduced. One is their flagship. The other is just the last of the old line of technology.
Unfortunately for us, both are priced so close together as to make owning "new old" versus "new new" a clear choice for most users. Either pay almost as much for the "new old" or pay almost the same and get the "new new."
There is only one flagship. It's the X. Either that or the 8/8+ is the "new SE" and I think that's a bit much considering their is already a SE equivalent in the lineup.
