Anybody get an AT&T sanctioned Unlock?

I cant say im not an AT&T rep,All I can tell you is my experience they asked where I got it I said AT&T that its an old iphone and they unlocked it.Whether you can get my result is iffy.You can try and if it doesnt work there is always Gevey sim
 
Just found this thread.

Got an iPhone 3GS used. Called AT&T the day unlocking became available. Got an email a couple of days later. After the Restore I installed the T-Mobile SIM card and its been fine for over a month now.

I have a question.
I called AT&T today to request for an unlock but the operator said that even though my line is eligible, the phone is not eligible for an unlock.
I mentioned that I was going out of the country and she did file a request for an unlock and gave me a confirmation number.
So my question is, if you get a confirmation number, do you have a good chance of getting an unlock even though you were initially told no?

Very much so. I would attempt a restore right now with a T-Mobile SIM installed.

I never got an email to this day for the 2 iPhones I unlocked a few weeks ago. Both iPhones became unlocked within a matter of hours though.

OMG, you are so right on this.
I just did a back up and then restore from back up and after a few disconnect and reconnect with my phone and iTunes, I got the your phone is now unlocked message.

Thanks for letting me know. I was gonna plan on waiting till the resolution day but now I don't have to.

So I tried to unlock another one today, called 3 different times they all deny my request saying the imei is not eligible. Went online and chat with a rep, gave him the imei and within 2 mins he told me that my phone would be unlock within 72 hours, wait for the confirm email. I'm sticking with online chat from now on. Btw I am an AT&T account holder

Edit: actually I waited 10 mins and go on dev.mk to check my imei and it said it was unlock. Awesome

Could anybody help me to unlock my iphone 4?
Just say my imei in the chat and ask to do unlock?
Please, cause I'm not att user so I can't do it myself.
Please any good people help me..

How do you people do it? I have unlocked 3 phones and every time I was told it will take 7-10 days and it actually takes that long :(

No ATT customer can help you because that iPhone must be tied to his account so that is not possible.
 
Not us. We have a place in China so contacted AT&T for an unlocked iPhone. We were told they don't sell them and that we'd have to but the unlocked "international" phone from Apple direct.
