Anybody get an AT&T sanctioned Unlock?

Glad I was of some help.

But people need to realize you only get 5 iPhone unlocks per account so use them wisely. At least thats what AT&T rep told me.

Why not? Not all of you live in Mexico, but some here do or have people in Mexico were that website would be of benefit to them.

I had to get a replacement iPhone recently. My original one was eligible for the official unlock. Will the unlock still apply to the replacement?

Yes from similar stories I've read on these and other forums, as long as you tell them you got your phone replaced, it should go through.

just keep the receipt that Apple gives you with your replacement, just to be safe.
 
I'm an AT&T customer and I spoke with a representative over the online chat, and after giving her my IMEI number she told me I was eligible for an unlock code, but my case had to go through the unlock review as well and I would be notified in 5-7 days. What is the likelihood that my phone will be unlocked and how long does it usually take? It is not stolen but it is off contract and I told her that.

just do it over the phone. SO much easier. and they usually wait for you to get the unlock done right there.

Some members are still in search of a valid customer to help them out unlock their iphone since they are abroad or whatever. But others here seem to be making some money of it all. Thats just shameful. You know who you are....:eek:

we only have telmex and telcel in mexico well where i live and its verry expensive i called once for over 30 minuts and the bill came really expensive over 50 dollars for tha tcall :( can you please help me i can wir emoney with paypal.
 
the cellphone was never activated with att i purchased it off best buy brand new and never activated and i have serched all the website att and never find the att chat lin can some one help me please find the link to chat with a rep.. thank you.
 
Is there a chance I could get two iPhone 4S on my account unlocked despite being a new subscriber as of last November? Already rejected by chat.

It is not possible to buy an iPhone 4S from Best Buy without a contract unless you paid an out-of-contract price ($749 for 32gB) from Best Buy. So either it is stolen or you paid around $700 for the phone. If you paid that much, it is already unlocked and you just need to start service with someone.

Anyhow to use ATT on line chat, you DO need an ATT account first. Here is the online chat page. Look at the right hand side...but you will need an ATT user ID or account first. You can sign up for an on-line account...but you will need to have ATT service first.

If you paid $700 for the out-of-contract iPhone 4S from Best Buy, and you still have problems, on-line chat with Apple directly. This link will have a live chat 'Ask Me' live chat link during normal business hours.

If a case was generated and you were eligible. There is a 90% chance you get unlocked with 48 hours. Try putting in a non AT&T sim and connect to itunes :)
