Why are you responding to a thread from July?
Because it was to me as reply to my post and I just saw it. I do not spend my life continually looking at forums.
I honestly thought I would lose interest. I tried other bands and after a few weeks or months, they were never worn again and I was back to my regular watches. I cycled through through 5 mechanical watches.Doesn't matter. It's very relevant today.

The Apple Watch stuck because I can use it for fitness and then casual and then with a suit all with a quick band change. The other devices I did everything to hid them because they were either way too big or looked like a bracelet.
Many have complained about third party apps and there are many that stink, but the ones I use daily are great and load so fast. I'm now using about 3-4 versions of the modular face depending on work hours or night or weekends. And Sleep Pulse with HeartWatch have been a great combination for sleep tracking and my heart monitoring. Love it.
I am beginning to not see the point of the watch...it was nice at first..now I'm just not seeing the point much...i think i am just bored..but i was expecting to kind of be constantly entertained with a "smartwatch"
Heck my wife doesn't even wear her watch at all, the emojis and heartbeats between watches was super cool for the first week, but then it was no more. The exercise tracking feature i suppose is its lone purpose for me
Im not hating on the apple watch at all, i just think i got bored with it
Anyone else have the blues? Any cure?
What's the problem with them changing the design? I had the original classic buckle and I really don't mind that. It's not like you something so outdated that you have to buy the new version. They have already totally changed the classic buckle two times since release, less than a year ago. I'm not nuts about buying something that gets outdated in a matter of weeks. I know they're trying to break into the fashion world, but I don't like it. They knew long before hand that they were going to improve the design.
I feel the same way.I liked the original classic buckle best (although I do like some of the new colours).
Nearly 10 months on, I still wear my watch all day every day. It's a gadget, yes, and I could easily get by without it but I really like it and I'd replace mine straight away if I lost it.
My gripe is that they improved the design/materials each time. The new one, for example, now has actual stitching. I bought the saddle brown buckle a month ago. Just kinda sucks.
I really like the concept. When it works, I find it very useful. However, every time Siri won't respond or dictate my message, my frustration increases. I'm mostly losing interest because I just don't think Apple is putting enough effort towards refining the watch, with its current hardware.
I'm also nervous over putting anymore money towards bands or accessories until I get a better idea of their long term plans for the watch. Anyway, I'm not a hater. I'm just becoming less enchanted with it.
Improved? Or just different? I guess you could say improved if people are complaining that the original design isn't holding up to daily wear. Otherwise it's all subjective. If I liked the original band enough, it wouldn't bother me that they came out with a different version that looks slightly different. Personally I think there are more attractive brown leather third party bands out there... many of them are much less expensive.
I think it's prudent to avoid putting too much into accessories until the next version comes out. I doubt they will change the design so much that original bands won't fit, but you never know. This is one reason I'm glad I bought a couple of third party bands for about $40 each. It will sting less if I have to replace them later. Then again one of them is just a standard 22mm leather strap so if if the next Apple Watch is incompatible with the original bands all I will have to do is purchase a $15 pair of adapter lugs for the new watch and at least one of my bands will work.

The stitching makes the new Classic Band look nicer/more high end so one can argue that they've indeed improved the design. Improvement doesn't necessarily need to be in term of how it holds up to daily wear.
Stitching does not equal nicer/high-end. It's just a different way of finishing the leather that results in a different look. The stitching is a more classic way of finishing the leather, which seems appropriate for a band by that name. A finish with no stitching is cleaner and more modern look that is going to fit the aesthetic of the Modern Buckle. I think Apple changed the Classic strap to differentiate it more from the Modern Buckle.
Personally I much prefer the look of the original Apple Classic Buckle. I like stitched leather just fine, but if it's going to be stitched I like the look of bolder stitches in a contrasting color. I also like the supple texture of the original, but I'm sure the newer version will be really nice once it is broken in a little.

Losing interest? Nope. I'm even seriously considering splurging on the Link Bracelet.
