how much did u pocket in the end after postage, ebay and paypal fees?
i got £350 for mine out of ebay which i thought was 'ok' considering it was a fresh replacement from the Apple Store and had 3 months warranty on it.
Anyone else sold their iPhone?

Sold my 16g 3GS for $375, could have sold it for $460 but oh well, I denied the bid because I didn't want to deal with international shipping. Pretty sure the guy would have left me negative feedback saying how I "lied" and it wasn't unlocked or something, even though nowhere in my listing it stated that. Happens with int'l sometimes. After fees and everything I came out netting a little over $300. Ebay and Paypal rapes, but this is enough. I don't mind dishing out the extra hundred for the 'early discount' price.

Yep, me too.I haven't sold mine yet but am planning to once I have the 4G in my hot little hands. I've gotten way too dependent on my iPhone to go without, even if it's only for a month. Sad, but true.

There is an "Erase iPhone" option within the settings. You tap it twice and it totally wipes the device.

When you do this, does this affect the activation of the phone? I'd like to do this when i sell the phone in a few weeks ( It's on 3.1.2 and I DONT want to restore) but I want to keep the phone activated.

Sold my 3GS about a month ago. Been using a very cheap LG mobile for last few weeks that cost me £3.95
It doesn't have a camera or internet but it will be worth the wait once i get the new iPhone. If anything it will make it seem even better as i have been using this POS for nearly 5 weeks now

I really didn't wanna sell it right now, but I know once the new one comes out, everyone will be selling theirs and they'll go for much cheaper.
I sold my 8gb 3g for 245 on ebay. Nice small profit from almost 2 years ago, haha.

Exactly how I feel. I'll take the hit on mine once the new iPhone comes out anyway. I'll just use the proceeds from the sale to knock out a bill or 2.

I was planning on selling my 3GS after I have the new phone in hand, but now I'm considering selling it earlier.
Right now, my AT&T account shows that I'm fully upgrade eligible on 6/23/2010. My question is, if I sell the 3GS and activate a temp phone on my account, how will that effect my eligibility, if at all, since I wont show an iPhone on my account anymore?

It depends on what the amount of the person's monthly bill is. Since mine's over $100, I qualify for the subsidized price for the 4G. Other people, I believe, are eligible for a partial discount, and some won't be eligible for the discounted rate at all.

Just sold mine yesterday as well. A White 16GB 3GS for 300.00 through craigslist. I technically sold it on eBay for 450 but I cancelled the bid due to him having a low feedback. Prob wouldnt have paid anyways. But I'm happy I received more than I paid for it. Cant wait for June 7th to come.
