Anyone else's 3GS have a yellowish-tinge on-screen?

Just got my 3G S and the display is more washed out than yellow...definitely not as bad as my 2nd 3G iPhone which looked like multivitamin tainted urine.

The display is significantly washed out though and colors aren't as deep as my 3G but not yellow as far as i can tell. Its very similar to my 16GB 2G screen. Pale colours & very bright

I know right. I'd exchange it but at this early stage i'd probably come of worse so i don't mind holding on to it in the mean time

My three 3GS's here are pretty darned nice. Pretty consistent. I do think things are better than last year for sure.

I think you need to install an App that does Push? I didn't have it either till I installed AP news. Now it's there and I've gotten my first push message from them. Most cool.

Mine has a slight yellowish tint to it as well, especially compared to my first generation one....

You can't compare it to the 1st gen. You just can't. 1st gen is a whole 'nother ballgame with it's color. It's not "supposed" to look anything like the pinky/blue phone.

I agree. Compare it to another 3GS at either the apple store or AT&T.

I just got my phone replaced. New phone has deeper colors like previous 3G and isn't washed out. Still has that 'warm' calibration but it doesn't look like urine...just a slight tint.

Overall i'm happy with it

Did they take a phone out of a retail box for your replacement? My replacement phone for screen issues came out of a generic white box but the genius insisted that there are no refurb 3GS phones yet, they just manufactured a run of phones to box up for replacements that are still brand new phones.

Generic brown box. Its brand new if the serial number starts with 8xxxxxxxxx as opposed to 5xxxxxxxx which signifies refurb

Picked up 2 new 3GS - 32's. Both have the lower half of the screen is yellow issue. Top part seems to be fine. Colors are much improved. Auto brightness is still fouled up.

Damn. Are you just dealing with this bottom yellowness? It's starting to really bug me on white pages

Just did the same! Except mine was yellow and washed out, the chrome bezel was very obviously protruding on the right side, the backlight would randomly not come on, and my signal was always crappy!

SO after replacing with a new one, which has a slight tint, but deeper colors, bezel is perfectly level all around, backlight hasn't failed, and I have had all 5 bars since...its safe to say I'm super happy!!

Auto brightness is still fouled up.

Lol auto brightness always has sucked...

I am so dissapointed, you guys have no idea. I am suffering from the yellow screen/dirty window screen as well. I just got this phone yesterday and I noticed how the colors looked washed up compared to my 3g and....ugh. I am going into the Apple store right away tomorrow morning to get this problem fixed because this is non-sense. I really dont want to have to deal with the idiots at the "genious bar" though. ugh
