Still love my case but a few small issues:

When case battery gets very low (3 percent or less) the phone constant stops/starts charging and vibrates each time as if it’s being plugged in repeatedly.

Occasionally, when case is completely empty, it doesn’t start charging when plugging it in. I have to take the phone out and plug the case in separately to get it started, then I pop the phone back in.

Anyone else had these issues?

No issues like that here. May want to get it swapped.

Yeah I’d get your case swapped if I was you, that isn’t normal.

Since someone mentioned earlier that their battery had went down on their Max since using the Apple battery case, I decided to check mine. I have had the Apple battery case for a little over a week and my battery health on the phone was 100%. Now it is 98%. That is still good I know, but going down 2% seems like a lot in a week compared to staying at 100% for 3 months before the case. I did let Apple support know just in case it is an issue with these cases.
Overall I do like the case and I do not think it’s very heavy.
Just checked mine. Down to 98% too; same situation, was at 100% since launch day.

Yes it also happened to me... Almost every battery case or even power banks does this...

Something weird happened this morning... Had the case on all night and my iPhone’s battery was discharged, but the Smart battery case was at 100%
Found that very weird... Checked again this afternoon and Smart battery case is still at 100% and the phone battery is still discharged... Anyone ever had this problem before?

Haven't seen this one yet. You try re-boot of iPhone?

Does the phone randomly turn on for anyone when you turn it off to charge it? I turn my phone off and charge it at night and it will randomly turn on.

Can you keep your phone off and charge it at the same time? I always had mine power on as soon as I plugged it in.

Yes. Turn it off first and quickly place it on the wireless charger or plug it in first and then turn it off. It will stay off and charge. With the battery case though, it randomly keeps turning on though.

Yes that didn’t do nothing... ended up charging the phone... after that i tried to charge the smart battery but it was already full (green light)

Here is the smart case on a white X. It also works on an Anker wireless charger that mounts your phone standing up.

I got my XR battery case free from Apple, tried to return but they won't take back by post/courier because of the battery here, so refunded and said to keep it.
Too thick and heavy for me and the lint on the black is bad.
Can't even get $120aud on eBay, retail $199aud here.

After you use it for a week it stops attracting lint.

The Apple silicone cases are not that bad with lint. The fake ones are terrible with it. I got a fake one off of eBay, that I thought was real until I opened it up and did some research. The fake ones draw a significant amount of lint and feel gummy compared to my real silicone Apple battery case. It has also stopped attracting lint over time, unlike the fake silicone case.

What is the deal with lint anyhow. Says more about your pocket than the case.

It's not just from pocket its from everywhere, and not just lint, i don't even pocket mine with battery case too big/heavy.
Hopefully gets better with time as they say.

It was nice to be able to install the iOS update today (with the new case) and not have to plug the phone into a power outlet to update.

All that Apple electronic technology in your nice Beatles fan office, and you have a post-it note on your iMac! :p

I really want to know why the phone turns on randomly when it is charging with phone in the Apple case and charging when it is off.

I had no need whatsoever, but I went ahead and got one of these for my XS Max.

Took about a day to get used to the size. Still fits in uniform, khakis and jeans as long as the jeans are regular cut.

Gives me two days easily, and I am not a light user.

Awkward fit on the Lightning port stand, but still works fine. Qi charging works fine. Fast charging works fine.

Best practice is probably to put the empty battery case on a charge for a while before putting your iPhone into it.

I think they could do a better job of showing you the two charge capacity batteries. It's not easy to find.

Two negatives.

The buttons are not as "positive" and nice as they are on the Apple leather case.

There is a lip at the bottom of the case. If you've got used to a bare iPhone or just having the Apple leather case, you might have to re-think the method you use to do the upward swipe.

No signal degradation at all. Feels good to the touch, nice and soft.

Some people might find it easier to hold onto for an extended work session or watching a movie.

There are far cheaper ways to do this, but there's no doubt it's head a shoulders above other battery cases.

Completely arbitrary decision on your part whether the integration with iOS and extra features make it worth $130.00.

:)

Never thought people would complain about lint as much as they do. Have to assume none of these people own any black shirts.

I honestly don't have a lint problem with Apple Silicone cases. Loving the battery case thus far and will come in very handy on trips I have planned for the Spring.
