Expect 3 GB of RAM.

iPad Pro is 4 GB RAM and iPhone isn't expected to run the same tasks. Even macOS High Sierra requires only 2 GB.

iPhone X will have a high BOM due to cameras and display. I don't expect Apple to spend lavishly on memory when it's not necessary.
Lavishly? 1gb of ram is not "spending lavishly"

Yup, waiting for the 8 or later. 6s plus still going strong with the added advantage I don't need to change my headphones or use an adapater

I bought the 7 and am holding out for the 8S, which would be the more polished version of the 8.

This is me. Somehow, with new technology being introduced I feel a new scandal coming on.

I'll let'em work the bugs out this year and see how it's improved next year.

I have a 6. When the 6s came out I was like, "Nah. Nothing new that I really need". When the 7 came out I was like, "Still nothing earth-shattering, plus I need an adapter just to use 99% of headphones in existence". I'm hoping and expecting the "iphone 8" to give me a reason to upgrade.

Well, I'll give you credit for waiting.

The redesign might cost though.

The standard 7s/+ may not have enough to warrant the usual prices.

I have all the money I've saved from not buying a new phone for nearly 3 years. :D

Really, I'm not too concerned about the cost. I probably won't upgrade again for a few years, so I don't mind going all out on occasion.
