if you run out of solution (they dont give you much)

It's easier to slowly run some warm (filtered) water in a bowl over some dish washer detergent (couple of drops) That way you can dunk the entire skin along with wetting your fingertips easier.

It makes getting dust out a bit easier and (for me ) makes it easier to apply.

You just have to be careful to get any extra liquid off as to not damage your phone.

Heck u can make the stuff and put it in a spray bottle.

I used to use windex to apply decals to my rc/cars I dont recommend that for your iphone but the warm water/dishwashing soap is just as good

Don't forget, if you chose the free ship option, you won't get a tracking number.

ya i saw that. I chose ground shipping which made up for the 20% off

even just plain old tap water will do the trick

they give you a bottle of spray for wet application and have a video on there website. I apply vinyl stickers to our race cars alot and bubbles are our worst enemy so i might have an easier time getting mine on than most

In that case I'll have my brother do it. 20 years in the Karting industry has to get you something useful out of life. ;)

I heard that the zagg has a very noticable orange peel effect...which I think would drive me nuts. I found a few others that advertise NO orange peel -- ghost armor, power support, brando, etc. Has anyone tried those?

New information

I spoke to a ZAGG rep who informed me that their dates are misleading. Their site says July 7th, but that doesn't mean everyone's will be shipped on that day. The only thing that was shipped on the 7th was the front side of the IS, not the back or the full option. Seems pretty dumb to me when the people who obviously care about the iphone more, enough to have full body protection, won't get it first. Those who ordered the full body SHOULD begin shipping on friday and saturday. I did priority shipping meaning that it will be processed before those who chose free shipping so it isn't really "in the order they were received."

xbig - thank you for taking the time to call and inform us.

Hyquality - most people don't use the IS for the front. I'll be getting the best for the screen that acts like nothing's there.... Power Support Crystal Film from the Apple Store.

Np, just trying to help.

I also pre-ordered a 3G iPhone shield and was told by the online chat support for Zagg that my order (in the UK) would be shipped this week but I may not get a confirmation e-mail... obviously I want an invisable shield for my 3G iPhone (assuming I can actually get one on Friday!)...

So I ordered a current iphone shield off ebay from first2save (who I have used before and got the next full working day which is very quick)!

I should get that by Friday so even if I don't have the 3G shield I can put the existing version on the phone.

It won't fit exactly but it should be able to cover the back of the phone and I can cut out any parts that don't fit exactly (I imagine the buttons and headphone socket) but the idea is to protect the back of the phone and not so much the sides!

I would also recommend a front screen protector - the crystal film that Apple stores do is great and I have a spare one lying around so I will be using that!

We don't want our new fancy phones damaged straight away and normal cases are ugly!

I received an email from Zagg .. my item had been shipped on 13th June allegedly ..

They think it's been lost in the mail so they're sending another out (to the UK)

I'm actually quite impressed that they answered at all with all the mayhem of the moment! .. and impressed that they're shipping another one ..

Yeah that is the woman that i spoke to that gave me, what seemed to be anyway, honest information that i posted earlier.

I received tracking info this morning. Placed order about 8 days ago. Paid for 2-day shipping which the PCWORLD20 code actually took care of.

Ordered 5 on the 12th of June.

Apart from a (false) shipping notice on the 13th of June I have heard nothing since, even though I emailed the company yesterday asking for an update.

Not pleased!

I'm in the UK, placed an order last week for two 3G shields and one 2G shield. Got an email yesterday saying my order has been shipped. Not sure if that means just the 2G or the 3G shields as well.

Not that I'm in a rush, if the rumors are correct I may have to wait a few weeks before getting a 3G because of stock shortages.

Zagg are in the habit of sending automated shipping notifications that mean diddly squat.

Unless you have a tracking number (which you won't have if you chose the free shipping option) I wouldn't rely on it at all!

I just had a chat with one of their CS people using the live chat thing on their website. This is what the person said...

Me: order number is EU4xxxxx and I ordered the Invisible Shield for iPhone 3G on 20 June 2008 to send to the UK. Do you know if it has been shipped yet?
Caleb: Please wait while I look that up.
Me: Thank you.
Caleb: Ok, it doesn't look like it has shipped. I do know that every pre-order will have been shipped by friday.
Caleb: For EU orders.
Me: Oh I see. In that case do you know roughly when I'll be able to receive it?
Caleb: Well in 2-4 days business days of it being shipped. If it doesn't come by the end of next week that would be enough to cause alarm.
Caleb: But I would guess midnext week.

So I guess I will have to survive for a few days without any protection...

I pre-ordered on June 7th, before even the announcement of the iPhone 3G.

I emailed yesterday inquiring and received a response today at 4PM stating it had JUST shipped today, July 9th. Further they go on to tell me since I chose free shipping it could take 1-2 weeks in transit.

I find that unacceptable. If they had stated anywhere that they would be shipping so late I would've GLADLY upgraded to faster shipping option.

The whole point of pre-ordering so early was to get the invisibleshield BEFORE the phone, not vice versa.

When you are placing your order, they tell you the estimated shipping speeds using the different services. Of course, free is the slowest.

Received this reply from them today

Hello ****,

Your order # EU****** for the invisibleSHIELD for the Apple iPhone 3G (Full Body) was received on Wed Jun 11, 2008. All pre-order invisibleSHIELDs for the Apple iPhone 3G began shipping the week of July 7 and will ship in the order received.

During the checkout process, you selected to have your item shipped via Royal Mail 1st Class. Orders shipped using this service can take 2 business days to be delivered once they leave our facility.

We are working to ship these orders as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for choosing the invisibleSHIELD. We appreciate your business!

All the best,

Which translates to me as
You wont be receiving it anytime soon!!

If they are shipping the front shield first and delaying the shipping on the back and full kits that means they are going with the front piece before they know for sure it fits the iPhone 3G. Which means they are waiting like everyone else to get it on Friday.

Disappointing...but it won't matter a lot for me...I won't use mine heavily until next week anyway. I'll just avoid carrying it around in my pocket until I get mine.

Hey all, I'm new to the forum..I ordered the back piece of the InvisibleSheild on June 28th with ground shipping and I just received an e-mail from them informing me that my order has recently been shipped. Not sure what's up but whenever I type in the provided UPS tracking # I'm told it's invalid...
