White boarder gives you the impression that the blacks are richer, with my iPad 1 you clearly notice how the black on the iPad is grey with the balck bezel beside.

Actually, I was surprised how much I like the white color. Part of the reason is that it reflects the color temperature of the room light. With daylight, it has a cool white appearance. Incandescent light, a warmer tone. It is like a mood ring. This is really apparent with constant color temperature of the screen.

Black would be just...black.

I really wanted a black but took a white when that's all the store had. I've learned to love it and now I am happy with the color.

The theories behind choice architecture is what is leading me to leave the world of windows for apple.

What good is the ability to do everything, when you have to sacrifice doing it well.

I noticed the white bezel looked a little brownish. Like it couldn't be cleaned by just wiping it, but it was stained. Given there probably have been a thousand people touching it, but I thought to myself "is this what the white would look like after a year of use?". But I'm sure if you take care of it, it will look nice forever.

it looks that way in best buy and in the apple store because of the lighting: outside, it looks bright, clean white.

I went with the white because it was different. I had the original iPad. The black would have felt very similar after a while.

Well I ordered a black on online at Canadian launch but I just got a white one reserved at my local Apple store for pickup tomorrow (all blacks were sold out). I prefer the black but we'll see if I regret settling for the white one shortly. White tomorrow or black in 3 weeks? Gotta go with white.

A week before the launch I was trying to decide which to go for, the black or the white.

I watched countless of videos on youtube comparing both models, and even on the day of the launch I still couldn't decide.

I liked the white because I wanted an iPhone 4 in white last year, and it looks much fresher because the black looks too similar to the gen 1.
However the black looked more slicker when the screen was off, and watching movies the screen looked bigger without the white bezel.

I queued up for 6 hours on the day, got into the store and had 10 minutes to decide. I was playing with both the black and the white but still couldn't decide.
Both colours looked amazing and both have their pros and con.

I went for white in the end because to me it was a bigger change from gen 1.

However, I didn't open it till a day after as I was still in two minds whether I had made the right choice and was contemplating returning it for the black.

In the end I just ripped open the packaging and have fallen in love with it.
No regrets whatsoever.

I'm going with white. I've went to the store 3 times in the last 3 days and finally decided. Unfortunately they're out of stock so I'll probably order them online :) Might try to hit up a Radio Shack tomorrow!

did the same thing,
I regret the white. felt like the ipad lost a "touch of class"....Don't know how else to state it...to me the white one just looks cheaper.

I like the white one a lot. I don't even notice the bezel when I'm on it. however when I got it. it does give the illusion it's smaller then then other iPad.

Given the choice I probably would have gone with the black, but I went with the white because it was the only one in the entire city. And now I'm glad I did. I love it!

I bought a white 16GB AT&T this morning. Absolutely no regrets--I'm loving it.

Well I picked up my white iPad and cancelled my online order for a black one. It's not bad looking by any means, but the design doesn't look as seamless and movies don't look as good on it. I wouldn't say I regret it because settling for a white one is worth it to me over waiting 3 weeks for a black one. Overall I'm happy with the white.

I like WHITE all the way! Had White and Black but the black had a crack returned it to target now got TWO WHITE ones and I am happy!

Black = Finger prints!! Worse then white!!

I'll say this, I was totally stuck on Black. That's all i wanted. As it turns out, i HAD to get the white (didn't HAVE to, but that's all they had left). Now that i have the White iPad, i actually like it. I had the first gen, and i think it's a nice change. Not too shabby!
